  1. Yep, that's the plan. Sign Pujols and go with Reed Johnson in CF, Brad Snyder in RF, and Bobby Scales at 3B.
  2. So you're going to keep saying within limits without actually saying what that means then. I don't care enough to define the parameters. I'm just saying that the more rules you pile on these players, the more likely there will be rules broken What if we didn't call them rules? What if we called them "limits"
  3. As long as the car was within limits
  4. No sacrifice is credited when the play would have been made at third if it were not for the error. They ruled the play wouldn't have been made.
  5. Gotta correct you Fred, that goes as a sacrifice for Colvin, not a simple FC.
  6. I had no idea that Dayton Ohio's Tony Campana had cancer as a child.
  7. So you're going to keep saying within limits without actually saying what that means then.
  8. If you want players paid, just say it. There's no need to go through some roundabout 3rd party mechanisms to put money in their hands from most likely shady characters.
  9. What are the "logical limits?" Unless all memorabilia sales have to go through a pre-approved middle man, then you have tattoo artists valuing Pryor's gold pants at 300K and the backup kicker's at 10 bucks. If you go through an NCAA-approved middle man, how is that any different than giving them a paycheck?
  10. You see how your own fans treat you Albert??? There's St. Louis loyalty for you!!!
  11. Jay Jackson broke team rules and got into a pissing match with one of the Smokies' coaches. That demotion was a far more appropriate punishment. Was the move to the bullpen a punishment to, because that went [expletive] swimmingly.
  12. Yeah, I don't like that at all. I understand the minors are for teaching, but you can have a teaching moment without sending him down.
  13. Hopefully it's more of a 'drop ticket prices' set of moves than a 'desperation to boost attendance' set of moves. Wait what?
  14. Salvation lies within Mr. Pryor.
  15. Now do one with Jordan, Pippen and Rodman.
  16. This one seems too forced. It's been pretty forced for the last month or so.
  17. I'd say Jordan was Lebronesque. Yes, he transcends time and space.
  18. But our offense is so inconsistent!! And we average like negative 0.1 runs per bases loaded opportunity!
  19. The score has nothing to do with it, it was his natural reaction to missing on a hittable pitch. I don't care if it was the 9th and they were up 14, it comes back to this unwritten [expletive], "stop trying when I think you should" If Bautista grounds out to the 2B and doesn't run it out, who's going to be the first piece of [expletive] calling him out on it? Somebody needs to light the White Sox booth on fire. ETA: Do you honestly think the 2 buffoons in their booth were defending Danks based on how they believe baseball players should act? You think if Konerko spiked his bat after Jo-Jo Reyes threw a meatball that they'd be chiding Konerko? No they'd tell Reyes how Luis Tiant used to act when that happened to him. I tell you what partner, Tiant was such a pitbull he was pissed at himself for not striking him out, and I guarantee. He'd strike out Paulie the next 5 times he came up to bat, just because that's the type of competitor he was!
  20. You mentioned how fun the '89 team was, Luis Gonzalez's mention makes me remember how much I loved that '95 team. Looking at the end of year standings makes it look like a mediocre year, but they went on an insane run at the end of the year, where they needed to win to stay alive and the Rockies needed to lose and it kept happening in ridiculous fashion. I was late for football practice pretty much every day that week.
  21. Servais and Luis Gonzalez. Of course we let Gonzalez go before he became a stud.
  22. 1993 - Rick Wilkins Personally, I don't care which side of the plate a guy is hitting 30 HRs from, I just care that he does it.
  23. He hasn't done anything to have a lock on the job either.
