  1. Bautista should've went with a more realistic number, like a bajillion.
  2. Like when we did the same thing in 09-10? One on the road in Wisconsin, the other against MSU at home? Yeah that secured nothing. He's gone or the fan base will riot. These are better wins, and we had 4 bad losses that year, compared to 1 (God, it better stay at that number) this year. I think we get in this year, but I still think Webers gone. Agreed, this team would have to get hotter than hell to save him, and we're not consistent enough to do it.
  3. And then there's poison pill provisions for guys who just got extended, where their salary cap number in a trade is the average of their extension compared to true cap number being their current contract.
  4. Jason Jaramillo had 4 of his own threads. In fact, I may go make a 5th.
  5. Let's get the suicide out of the way and say Prior-Wood-Zambrano now

  7. WE'VE LANDED ON THE MOON
  8. That's an embarrassing offer
  9. he basically did two of those things already last year (36 doubles, 9 triples). i'll be pretty surprised if he doubles his homers, though. I'll take the over on 20.
  10. I have little idea why they're listed(do they have to keep renouncing these guys?), but the cap holds listed for the Lakers and Celtics are hilarious. http://www.shamsports.com/content/pages/data/salaries/lakers.jsp http://www.shamsports.com/content/pages/data/salaries/celtics.jsp
  11. Their contracts would be eaten up by the Rose extension
  12. He just wants to play for us because it's a shorter sprint to the mound.
  13. I wish it was only as dumb as buying out arbitration, Grabow was a FA re-sign
  14. I think Dallas chooses Deron over Dwight if both make it to FA. I wouldn't count the Nets out for Dwight if Deron sticks around. (I really doubt he does)
  15. Nets have some boosts due to options and qualifying offers, but they can also cut loose Farmar to more than make up for it...not that they need 27.1 to sign D12
  16. I've seen this another place as well. Unless they overhauled the way it works, they can't do that. Miami had to renounce all its free agents in order to sign the Big 3. When you renounce your free agents, you lose your Bird rights, thus they couldn't afford to sign Deron. I don't know if there are options on the contracts, as I'm just going off of Trade Machine, but I have 22.9M in 2012 contracts for World Peace, Walton, Blake, Fisher, and McRoberts (lol) ETA: Quick look shows only Fisher with an option, and it's a player option.
  17. The 4 teams for Howard and their cap space after this season: Nets: 27.1 under Mavs: 7.2 under Bulls: 8.7 over Lakers: 25.2 over And for fun: Celtics: 24.5 under
  18. How do you propose the Lakers sign Howard as a free agent while 30M over the cap?
  19. If Orlando wants short-term players they should probably keep Howard.
  20. We must've won a lot of games under this Hendry guy.
  21. I'm starting to think they're going to give us compensation
  22. Isn't that Bobcats pick partially protected for like 40 years?
