  1. #10 in a system with 1 top 100 prospect.
  2. Everyone but mojo hates him?
  3. Yep probably, but I wonder if people thought the same about Steve Nash before he got a real shot in Dallas. Lin was an undrafted free agent who was let go by 2 teams for nothing. Nash was the 15th overall pick who was traded 2 years later for that year's 19th pick, plus the next year's draft pick from a team who just finished the season 20-62. ETA: Pat Garrity was in a lot of huge trades. September 25, 1997: As part of a 3-team trade, traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers (as a 1998 1st round draft pick) with Terrell Brandon and Tyrone Hill to the Milwaukee Bucks; the Milwaukee Bucks traded Sherman Douglas to the Cleveland Cavaliers; the Milwaukee Bucks traded Vin Baker to the Seattle SuperSonics; and the Seattle SuperSonics traded Shawn Kemp to the Cleveland Cavaliers. June 24, 1998: Traded by the Dallas Mavericks with Martin Muursepp, Bubba Wells and a 1999 1st round draft pick (Shawn Marion) to the Phoenix Suns for Steve Nash. June 24, 1998: Traded by the Milwaukee Bucks with Dirk Nowitzki to the Dallas Mavericks for Robert Traylor. August 5, 1999: Traded by the Phoenix Suns with Danny Manning, a 2001 1st round draft pick (Jason Collins) and a 2002 1st round draft pick (Amare Stoudemire) to the Orlando Magic for Anfernee Hardaway.
  4. Because there can only be one ruler of the underworld.
  5. We should give up our #3 prospect since it wouldn't be top 40 in the Yankees system.
  6. Well, I really didn't feel like figuring a standard deviation right now, how else would you suggest a quick and dirty way of figuring out when a game is a blowout or not? It's not like you have to go too far back to find a blowout where Thibs ran a fresh off injury Deng or Rose out there for more than was necessary.
  7. That sounds like a serious lawsuit to whoever checked a bathroom security camera without cause.
  8. They're 3rd and 18th respectively while battling injuries on a team with the 2nd highest point differential in the NBA and one of the best benches in the NBA.
  9. Fangraphs has Gomez listed as a -0.9 for baserunning. What am I missing?
  10. Oh, goony doesn't care about the hall of fame?
  11. I love Thibodeau as an instructor, and understand what he's getting at, but there's a whole lot of Dusty in that excerpt.
  12. What a mark ass buster
  13. That's as high as we can count.
  14. They're all East of the Pacific Ocean.
  15. Kentucky won't make the Final 4.
  16. you don't sound like you understand what you're talking about If Gomez were to play a full season at last year's rate, he'd be a 5 win player, while being terrible at the plate and a below average baserunner. You have no problem with that evaluation?
  17. Theo&Jed probably hate him. There's no reason for him to be involved otherwise. This is dumb.
  18. We should play Tony Campana every day. He should be an easy 4-5 WAR player over a full season.
  19. Gomez was a negative baserunner and put up a .225/.276/.403 line at the plate. I have a serious issue with accepting him as 2 wins above replacement because of 569 innings in the field.
  20. No it's really not.
  21. That's some solid math and even better logic.
  22. Carlos Gomez over my dog would be egregious. And I don't even have a dog.
  23. I was saying BOO-em
