  1. Im amazed clownshoes had an epic run with his offense in '05 with two point guards then decides to recruit only two point guards the next 7 years. The insane is he has this team which is rated just as high as that '05 team in recruiting rankings and this happens. Then you have the '08-'09 team with a starting lineup of Frazier (2 star), Meacham (2 star, I think?), McCamey (4 star), Davis (2 star), and Tisdale(3-4 star depending on service)
  2. Yeah most talented does not equal best.
  3. Nobody said Illinois had more talent than Ohio State.
  4. I love the way the quote reads in print because it sounds like he mentions the drugs and then is like "uhhh...not drugs, I meant they're late sometimes!"
  5. What? No. Minor league free agency has nothing to do with service time, and by extension team control. LaHair is under Cubs control for 6 seasons.
  6. [expletive] castro is a genius! I believe he's Hispanic.
  7. WTF is keeping Sulley??
  8. If I thought the Cubs had a chance at the division this year, I'd be [expletive] livid.
  9. Super Troopers is the other thread.
  10. Hey, who's that guy from the Beach Boys, went crazy and gained a ton of weight?
  11. Looks pretty random to me. I'll take Lalli, Amezaga, Lopez, and Coleman
  12. That's what makes it so funny.
  13. Don't forget West Virginia and TCU!
  14. The point is Butler has added literally no value since being drafted. If coming out of college he projected as a guy who could give 15-20 solid minutes, he wouldn't have lasted until the 30th pick.
  15. Singler can shoot, but doesn't have the build, speed, or agility that Butler does. You are cherry-picking on the basis of a flawed argument. Teams regularly draft and trade for players based on potential. That's the whole point of picks like Jan Vesely (6th pick in 2011 draft), for example. Vesely is a Euro, a year younger than Butler, and was drafted 6th. Butler played 2 seasons in the Big East, and was drafted 30th.
  16. I think the fan of the team that was almost forced to the Sun Belt may be a bit biased in this argument.
  17. I said this when they signed their last mediocre corner OF. No.
  18. I'm still holding out hope. God, that'd be so great. Best thing Missouri's ever done.
  19. [expletive], they were mismanaged once Bird decided he was done. Drafted Jon Barry in the 1st round (21st pick) of the 1992 NBA Draft. Traded Jon Barry and a 1995 2nd round draft pick (Eric Snow) to the Milwaukee Bucks for Alaa Abdelnaby. Drafted Acie Earl in the 1st round (19th pick) of the 1993 NBA Draft. Drafted Eric Montross in the 1st round (9th pick) of the 1994 NBA Draft. Signed Dominique Wilkins as an unrestricted free agent. Signed Pervis Ellison as an unrestricted free agent. Drafted Eric Williams in the 1st round (14th pick) of the 1995 NBA Draft.
  20. Yeah, well as fun as it is to see Scott Williams, starting PF, the Celtics 4th leading scorer was Erick Strickland, who I forgot existed until I read his name. And I'm sure none of you ever knew he existed.
  21. You'll notice he wasn't getting to the free throw line either. I want to say missed shots that resulted in free throws still counted as FGA back then, but I may have pulled that out my ass. But how else does a guy shoot 26% on the year...and make the hall of fame??
  22. PMan has. Popped in just to delete my post and lock a thread.
