  1. Where'd you hear this?
  2. Really? Butler too??
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWqmWbom4Tg This is a really weak suspension.
  4. Fun with old SOSH quotes: BA Ranks: Brett Jackson: 32 Middlebrooks: 51 Bogaerts: 58 Szczur: 64 Ranaudo: Not top 100 Kalish: Not top 100
  5. You can send him for cash or future considerations.
  6. It can still be Brett Jackson!
  7. I don't think it can work that way. The PTBNL has to be either a player or a list of players submitted to the commissioner's office at the time of the deal. And this apparently was a deal. In the very least, it can also become cash considerations. ETA: So they just can't seem to agree on what player goes to the Red Sox(while agreeing on who goes to the Cubs), I guess we'll just have to pay you 8 dollars.
  8. JACOBY ELSSBURY?! [/sosh] The PTBNL makes it open season for them to speculate on anyone drafted last year. They've already begun.
  9. My assumption is both clubs are receiving a "PTBNL" so the trade can be adjusted based on Carpenter's performance. If he exceeds expectations, we'll get something, if he flames out, they will, if he's where they determined is his expected level, they'll be no further compensation.
  10. Dammit, they're talking about moving a guy to the 60 day DL to make room.
  11. I saw someone at SOSH mentioning Bowden could be DFAed. Giving them Carpenter and claiming Bowden would make me irrationally happy. Yep, that's what put the idea in my head.
  12. What I really want, is to put a claim in on whoever they remove from their 40 man roster.
  13. Ooh, Scott Maine would be spectacular.
  14. I assume this isn't including the 25 Red Sox prospects ahead of our 5th.
  15. McNutt's not on the 40 man.
  16. Define recent? Brian Hill was forced out from the Magic over 15 years ago.
  17. This is [expletive] [expletive]
  18. We'd be 19-12 heading into the BTT. 20 wins while playing in the best conference in the country is a lock unless you have an embarrassing noncon (Minnesota) Bubble teams don't have that collection of quality wins(Gonzaga could probably be tossed in there as well), and they only have 2 horrible losses. I'd go so far as to say a 20 win Illinois team avoids the play-ins and is a 10 seed or something. But again, we're finishing 17-15 and not playing in any tournament.
  19. Not that they aren't dead men walking, but if they wanted to get back into the tourney's good graces, they have the schedule to do it. @ #9 OSU, vs. Iowa, vs. #13 Michigan, @ #15 Wisky Go 3-1 with at least 2 victories against ranked teams, and win 2 BTT games and they would probably be right on the edge of the bubble. We'd only need 1 BTT win in that situation, if that. Of course, I'd put the over/under on wins the rest of the season(including postseason) at 1.
  20. i was just going to make fun of this game. augustin was a -47 Maggete was -39 in 20 minutes.
  21. Impossible, I thought Gus Johnson was an Indiana homer...
  22. Well that's just the saddest thing I've ever read.
  23. I thought it was supposed to be nobody from the 40 man.
