    So, if Castro maxes his talent, he's Starlin Castro 2010-2012? Interesting. Edgar Renteria had five seasons better than Castro 2010-2012, and including one where he doubled Castro's best fWAR. How many seasons did he have that were worse? Did UK say if Castro maxes out his talent he'll put up nothing but Renteria's best years?

    Kolten Wong is 6.5 months younger than Castro, can't play SS and hit like Josh Vitters at the major league level this season.

    Then our front office is stupid. That's a bit harsh I think. A career .322 OBP is not impressive. But since he plays a deluxe position, I think they feel they can still move him for something compelling. No, it's not. Being desperate to move a guy because of one bad season and because you're focusing on the flaws of his game rather than the strengths is the move of a stupid front office.

    Since we have no money again and aren't going to try again, why would you trade Castro at his absolute nadir rather than let him go out and hit for an empty average and then trade him for the 2015 run?

    Is it Miller or Martinez or Jenkins and a position prospect? The positional prospect is a SS and the Cardinals have no good SS prospects (this particular rumor seemed to suggest Peter Kozma as a placeholder before Javier Baez was ready). I seriously would let them take my 10% down payment and walk away. I will not buy season tickets for a team that acquires Pete Kozma on purpose.

    I might feel better about this if it was just a salary dump. At least we'd only have a problem with ownership rather than a broke owner and a suddenly stupid front office.

    Well, there are also the terrible fans at the stadium. Deathly quiet except to chant M-V-P or follow a prompting on a scoreboard.

And very possibly leading for another 5-star (No. 22). Yes, very much implosion-like. It was an Indiana fan that posed the question. I love how sensitive you guys get.

    I bet even he is disillusioned. Have I come down from being disappointed by a less than Jeter career? Sure. 50 percent chance he sucks? Please. Combined with the perception of him around the league, I can't imagine any scenario where it makes sense to trade him.

    Donovan McNabb didn't know ties existed and that was something that affected him as an active player.

    Contention maybe, but not making the cut even for the final wild card. That's not enough. You need the existing roster to make cumulative gains still to the tune of at least 5 more Wins over the previous listings, probably more. Especially in the current division if you're strictly talking 2014. BPro was off by 10 or more games for 12 out of 30 teams in their projections this past season. Not trying because projections only put you at 85 wins ensures nothing but continued minor league forum activity.
