Not wanting to give up a 2nd rounder for a position of need while using it to sign a guy who may be a minor upgrade on the guy we have who is still pre-arb would really make me question the front office. Regarding Tanaka, I know you're not interested in debating finances, but until I see something stating otherwise, I have little reason to believe we can make a competitive bid on Tanaka.

I don't remember which free site was the good one, but nbadraft.net has 9 out of the top 13(and 12 of the top 22) from those 4 schools. Nuts

no kidding, they were really reaching for something interesting about that title win. if the giants clinch the world series at home sometime, they'll only mention in passing about how it's the 1st time since 1922 they won at home (and 1st time ever in san fran!!!!!!!!!!!!) how about this...the Cubs have never clinched a world series in Chicago. Even during their 1907-1908 dynasty, they won it in Detroit and Boston. Didn't we beat the Tigers both times? Yep, clinched both in Detroit

There are plenty of Bulls and Bears fans who loathe the White Sox and everything they stand for. (As well they should) yeah, because they're cub fans. the people who root for the red sox are the exact same people who root for the celtics. But...I'm not a Red Sox fan. You're saying oh you're a Celtics fan, these baseball fans are cheering alongside you in basketball, what's the problem?? It's the exact same situation for those people. How you could hate White Sox fans, you cheer alongside them at Bulls and Bears games!!

    Troll who? Us? #PoorTomRicketts

Why would any of you watch the postgame? The Red Sox are still awful awful people, they did their job, no need to watch them celebrate. Once they stopped showing sad Mike Matheny I flipped to Conan

I'm not sure what you're saying here. I'm guessing he thinks Samardzija has more years left than he does.

Any particular reason Tazawa only faced 1 guy?

    QUIRKS you [expletive] idiot
  13. SouthSideRyan
How do they not send him there?
  14. SouthSideRyan
Attempting to explain to any of their fans how [expletive] lucky they were all season with RISP, Allen Craig in particular, was absolutely mind numbing. It was all about their approach!!!

Executing the rundown the right way, with as many throws as possible.
  16. SouthSideRyan
Can't these guys just get drivers?
  17. SouthSideRyan
I don't think it was Holliday getting that throw 15 feet wide of home plate that kept Napoli at 3rd there Tim.

Couple questions: What is a Vitor Faverani? The Raptors are really good right?

I'll paypal you money to order a shot called Cardinal tears. No paypal required. What is the shot? Either 52 Budweisers or something involving untimely deaths I guess. Too happy to be clever right now
  20. SouthSideRyan
Is it ever? Take it to the Brazzers thread

He's probably just working on a new pitch.

I hope it's the Royals too, but I do like Ventura more than Zimmer, size be damned. Ventura and Duffy would probably be my favorite package not involving Bradley or Taillon. The Royals should be desperate enough at this point to give us Zimmer AND Ventura. Something along those lines is the only way we should be trading Samardzija.

I wouldn't be so worried about the short term as much as the early burnout on these guys careers.

I get what you're saying about Shark, but what about replacing him through free agency or another trade? And will we really miss Barney? I don't think this trade necessarily makes us that much worse. Why trade Shark for prospects and then trade prospects for a guy like Shark? He could be replaced with Tanaka, which obviously is just a cash transaction and you also gain prospects out of it while letting the cash be roughly neutral. The cash wouldn't be anywhere close to neutral
