    lol, because like the game is so important for them. And has a protest ever turned out into anything besides an apology from Selig? Can someone explain exactly what Lou did wrong? Nothing. The protest is regarding Lou's double switch. The Reds said are protesting because Lou didn't IMMEDIATELY tell the ump what he was doing. But it was completely legit, the Reds are just being jackasses. Seriously, he didn't break any rules whatsoever. he did technically. i don't think anything will happen from it though I'd trust Kasper and Brenly's knowledge of the rules over the hacks in Cincy.

    We arent really tied though we have played 2 more games than the Brewers IF they split those they are ahead of us. No, if they split them they're tied, if the win both the extra games they're up. THey'd be up percentage points on us if we hang on to lose.

    The Cubs need Ward in case we get to Munroe's spot in the lineup. I don't know if that's sarcasm, but again you cross that bridge when you get to it. If the inning is alive for Monroe against a righty then you pinch hit Murton. You use your best pinch hitters first so that you're not stuck with guys who've looked to have no clue at the plate(Theriot), hitting because you're too busy waiting for some pefect oppurtunity to use your best pinch hitter.

    Lou could make it up to me by pinch hitting Ward for Theriot. That's about it.

    Perhaps it's the .400 OBP he has as a pinch-hitter? Yeah those 20 PAs seem pretty rock solid for a sample. EDIT: beaten

    I know what you are saying but there really is no reason for Ward to lead off an inning. Id rather he come up with runners on. I'd rather have the guy with the 438 OBP get on for Soto and Soriano. Leaving Ward on the bench for a chance to hit with people on base is Dusty managing at its finest.
