    It's small but the Brewers have a better chance of gaining ground on us in those 2 games than they do losing ground. It's not statistically insignificant.

    It blows my mind that people think the higher-ups will still be there once the new owner takes over. This is the last year the Tribune is going to own the team. Yes, but the current higher ups are likely the ones calling the shots most of the offseason which means short of a 2-8 finish, Hendry stays.

    It was a 50-50 split at best, and probably more like 60-70% against. There were a lot of people screaming that the emperor had no clothes, and Prior's pitch count in Game 2 pretty much cemented a lot of people's dislike of Dusty.

    Cards are sweeping the Brew, and I don't really know how or why.

    Z was getting rocked in the 5th. His spot came up in the 5th. He was pitching on 3 days rest and was up in the 80s for pitch count. Lou let him hit. Surprise, Z makes an out and gives up a bomb to Encarnacion.

    Worried in the sense that I'm always worried about the Cubs. I'd still peg as slightly better than 50-50 to win the division.

    It blows my mind that some people continue to believe this season won't be seen as a smashing success by higher ups whether the Cubs make the playoffs or not. Contending within the division, it's good enough for them.

    Yeah but then we mighta lost last night pitching Gallagher or Hart. And Josh Hancock continues to dick us over.

    glad to hear the streak continues you can give it another shot in 09 or so Singlehandedly costing the Cubs a playoff spot since '04.

    I wish the blonde girl in front of us who clearly wanted nothing to do with the older guys creepin woulda just slapped that reds ho in the face. Even her boyfriend was embarrassed of her.

    Riggleman would be just about the only other manager I would put in the discussion. It's really hard to judge Cubs managers because of the lack of talent they had. I do know that Baylor, Baker, and Zimmer were all terrible.

    Well it also depends on your definition of talking about Soto. I(and many others) talked a lot about him when Blanco was re-signed for 2 years.

    Alright, I'm gonna have to check with work to make sure I'll be free but assuming there are tickets still out there ~7 AM and I should be in.

    I asked in UM's original thread, I'm 1-4 on the season, do I tempt the fates and go to the game anyway? My good mojo is that I'm 2-0 while wearing my Rich Hill shersey. Thoughts?
