I'd say any one of Soriano, Lee, and Ramirez would qualify. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge DeRosa fan, but he might not be top 5 on my Cubs MVP ballot.

Steve Stone on CTL yesterday said that Mark DeRosa was the MVP of the team, and the guy the Cubs would miss the most if he was removed from the team would be him. Steve Stone's an idiot. ARam ftw.

He is looking sharp, the Pirates just seemed to know what was coming the first 2 innings. I remember there was talk of him tipping his pitches a little while back, I wonder if they need to look into that again. The Pirates didn't have a clue what was coming in the 1st 2 innings, that's why their bats were breaking and they were fisting balls 160 feet.

The Pirates are getting nothing but dink and dunk hits, but Rich gave up a 2-RBI single to the pitcher. Not good. No that certainly wasn't, but I'm not gonna call for his head because of one AB.

If this was happening to Jason Marquis absolutely everyone would be ripping him a new one. Rich Hill doesn't get special treatment because he has a fan club. Yeah, or not. I've said the same things about Marquis when he's been getting dinked and dunked to death. Rich looks fine out there. You want to bring out the pen for 8 innings because a couple pop ups dropped in. Then you can be happy cause you can complain about this loser team choking down the stretch.

Yeah after he got away with two ropes for outs, then the two big guys get hits, it might have been a good time to go to your pen. It's pretty obvious why he didn't go to the pen. Atlanta's bullpen is terrible. Look at Yates right now. I have no problem with Cox leaving in Hudson for as long as he did. Yates is in cause they're losing. They likely woulda went Moylan/Dotel/Soriano

It would really kill the Brewers' hopes and dreams if they blew this game, but I don't think Cordero is gonna give up 7 runs in the 9th.
