    If they boo'd him while he was a Cubs, why wouldn't they boo him now. Oh, I knew he was gonna get hammered tonight, still annoys me. Not quite as much as when he'd get booed for anything but a HR while he was a Cub. I didn't see it, but if people were booing Bako, that does kind of make me laugh, just for the bizarrity of it.

    I wish people didn't boo Corey. I'm all for booing Dusty, but I like Corey, and it's not his fault he was put into situations where he was destined to fail by the afformentioned boob.

    Someone needs to leave Pie's swing alone and give him two months of starting without being yanked after every 0-for-4. so ship him off to the D-Rays or Royals is what you're saying? Or better yet...Iowa? He doesn't deserve 2 months of sucking. Especially considering how inconsistent this line up can be as it is. Yeah eff that guy, he had his 4 ABs tonight after not playing for a full game in a week. Can't hit 3 HRs today, to hell with you COREY WANNA BE!!!

    Clearly Jim Lefebvre rid us of the Lovable Losers tag because he was manager when the Cubs signed Sandberg to the biggest contract in baseball history. Or Don Baylor for going out and getting Moises Alou. AND he got us to trade for Fred McGriff!! I like how the Aguilera trade is talked as a sign the Cubs weren't committed to winning. Aguilera had an ERA of 1.27 at the time and was coming off of a season where he saved 38 games. Henry Rodriguez coming off of seasons where he piled up some HR totals. Rod Beck who'd been a great closer for the Giants. The Cubs weren't not trying to win, they were just a very stupid organization.

    1.) The Carlos Lee for Scott Podsednik trade did not help the White Sox. 2.) The White Sox are no more real than the A's or the Orioles right now. They look good, but the Tigers will come back, the Indians will be good. 13-14 games is not a good sample size. Agreed. Once the Tigers get going, they will fly the White Sox in no time. They still have less starting pitching then the Cubs, and they still emply Juan Uribe, Joe Crede, and AJ Alphabet in the lineup. The White Sox are still a 75-80 win team. Joe Crede is good.... Pierzynski is pretty good too. EDIT: well, sort of. They're both league averagish. Pierzynski's probably worse.

    The dropping of Dunn is what makes the trade suspcious. It's like they knew the straight up trade would be shot down, so they manuevered around it with the dropping/waiver claim of Dunn. I'd veto.

    Golf clap. I chuckled. I know, because Chicago hates black people like Michael Jordan, Ferguson Jenkins, Ernie Banks, Andre Dawson, Walter Peyton, Sammy Sosa (in the heyday), Billy Williams, Bill Clinton, and Ced Landrum. There's a difference between a bad black athlete and a good one. I'm not saying Chicago is any more racist then most major American cities, but most sports fans would cheer a Nazi if he was good at hitting the ball. So you're saying that fans don't care about anything unless you're a good player. Saying that color of skin means nothing to the fans.

    Providence is a very difficult job, though. $7,000,000 If Davis stayed at Drake, he coulda been gone in 5 years and never see the MVC again. I compare it to the pre-arb guys signign the long-term contract early and getting set for life. He doesn't need to do a lot at Providence to keep his name in the mix. A few 20 win seasons there and he'll be up for a better job.

    What's this? Do the Cubs hold off selling the front row bleacher seats until a few hours before the game? Is this for every game? That's interesting ... No, the bleachers are General Admission, so he wants to get there early so he can get a good seat before someone else takes it. So the Cubs don't sell bleacher seats online? And there is no such thing as "season ticket" bleacher seats? No season tickets for bleachers. They're sold online but are sold as general admissions, first come first serve.
