  1. He doesn't deserve any playing time. he's worthless. Yeah, Ryan Theriot should play 162 games a year. Or we should get a starting caliber SS to get 150 ABs a year. A little bit of a crowbar separation there... While we don't need starter quality, it would be nice to have a player who is somewhat competent... Yeah there's gotta be some sort of freely available talent that is a good defensive SS with an ~85 OPS+ who can run a little.

  3. There's nothing better than an athletic body type. I'd kill to marry a volleyball/softball player. I like boobs to much, no swimmers/volleyball chics for me. Swimmers have big boobs.
  4. Well that's not really true. Banks is pretty clearly the best of the modern Cubs imho.
  5. Iwamura is a bust?? Kosuke is having a year about on par with Hideki Matsui's first season value wise.
  6. He won it for me when he was an incredible baseball player.
  7. How many times have you encountered his niceness?
  8. big shoulders She's a swimmer.
  9. Speed's not a problem cause Marquis has been piggybacking with Ward for pretty much the entire season. But yeah, I'm afraid Ward is done for. Just a matter of whether the Cubs can afford to be patient enough and wait on Hoff til September.
  10. Ed Wade descends to his bunker to ponder his next transaction.
  11. Felix Pie is 23 years old. Our current lineup when they were 23. Soriano: .281/.336/.474 over 500 PAs at Rookie, AA, and AAA ball. Majority of ABs came at AA Theriot: .249/.347/.296 398 PAs time split pretty evenly between A and AA Lee: .283/.341/.516 in 369 PAs at AAA, .206/.263/.326 in 239 PAs at majors Ramirez: .300/.350/.536 in the majors Kosuke: 253/.350/.446 in Japan's Central League. (For reference, this is ~150 OPS points below his career Japanese #s. With his career Japanese #s being about 150 points higher than his #s this season.) DeRosa: .267/.351/.384 in AA, 3 PAs in the big leagues. Edmonds: .246/.270/.344 in 63 big league PAs, .315 .385 .492 in AAA. Soto: .200/.231/.240 in 26 big league PAs, .272 .353 .386 in AAA Pie at 23 has a .222/.286/.286 in the big leagues. And a .285/.331/.471 in AAA.
  12. I didn't realize .331/.364/.522/.886 since june was nothing in AAA. And I'm with raw, this is Gary Gaetti part 2. I didn't realize Felix had a chance up here.
  13. Do the Cards just cut checks every couple weeks to mail to Jim Edmonds or did they just hand deliver a big sack of cash with a dollar sign on it to 1060 W. Addison?
  14. My mistake, the Cubs winning has no effect on the Cardinals. The Cardinals still wouldn't be in 1st place even if the Cubs didn't have the best record in the NL.
  15. I guess it's too much to ask that ESPN or whoever is saying this stuff realize that the Brewers had a fight last year and it was followed by a tailspin.
  16. Who the hell are you talking to with that post? Are you replying from a different thread or something? And thanks for the donation to the Jim Edmonds fund.
  17. Better today than if we were facing a playoff contender.
  18. He's from San Diego. So? His list is 8 teams right? Why on earth would the Red Sox be one of them? There are so many worse teams to play for and worse cities to live in. You'd think he'd be tired of all the losing in Pitt and now SD and would want a chance for a world series. There are other places he can go to get a chance at a World Series - Boston isn't the only option. Maybe he just doesn't like Boston. No, I get that. I just don't understand why a team like the Reds, Royals, or Blue Jays would not be on there, but Boston would. Obviously there's something about Boston or the Red Sox that he really doesn't like and I'm just curious as to what that is. That's all. He didn't see in the near future those teams being in contention and needing to trade for him. When guys have a limited no trade clause, you'll see them leave off terrible teams because they figure it's a waste to have them on there because they're never going to try and trade for him in the first place.
  19. Cards and Mets are hilariously out of place here.
  20. BTF calls him bullpen Jesus.
