shut it...he wasn't even the best choice from the red sox Sure he was. Yeah, who was more deserving on the Red Sox? Youkilis? Drew? Youkilis is the only argument I'd listen to, but you've gotta give him theoretical credit for the ability to play 3B, which I don't think he deserves. It's not his fault that the Red Sox deployed him at 1B when he could handle 3B, but I can't give him credit for theoretical position advantage.

Funny, for once I'm thinking the same thing about Illinois this year. You guys really shoulda done it last year. We couldn't break the press whenever it was on, shoulda 94 feet of helled us out of the arena.

Somebodies pessimistic after that first game. Nah, young team on the road for the first time and Beilein's system has given UCLA fits each of the last three years. If Holiday or Lee can lock up Manny Harris like Westbrook did last year, the Bruins should be fine. Michigan's no damn good, don't worry about it.

Chipper Jones continues to be the most underrated player of this generation as well. Those #s from a 3B???

Braun's also a mediocre at best defender in the easiest position to field on the diamond. He also hit like Alfonso Soriano this year. Also: I liked the attempt at a dig, like we were going to be mad that Braun hit a HR to help the Brewers beat our B team.

I like that Florida has less of a chance to beat the Citadel than USC did against Washington St.

His peripherals as a starter are bad, but his work against lefties and as a reliever have been solid. Touche, it is in a relatively small sample, but I have to agree with you that given what he'll probably get(1M or so?) he'd be a good signing. -

Hendrickson's peripherals have never translated into making him a good pitcher. I don't know the reasoning behind it, but he's been at this for awhile now without success. Am I the only person that has any faith in our in-house bullpen guys? -
I just noticed that Iowa and Northwestern are the 2 teams we get only once this conference season. That sucks.

You made it sound like Washington was winning or something. I had to check the score to make sure they were still losing to set up the ultimate pillow fight next week. Oh, it wasn't that bad or anything (though it was close in the first half). I see I'm not the only one who can't wait for the Apple Cup. Washington is going to beat the hell out of the Cougars.
