See IG, there's the benefit to having a guy who can't shoot, he actually looks to pass on the last shot rather than being your standard dribble out of control and hoist a 35 footer point guard.

Keep in mind though, in my analysis that you did not read, i gave half the first place votes to Florida, a fourth to OU and a fourth to Texas and it still does not appear to be enough for Florida to jump Texas. I have a hard time seeing Texas getting 1/4 of the first place votes even if OU loses.

IU has no chance against Wake, and I'm not real optimistic about Iowa. The other 3 I could see happening, but I'm a little more bullish on PSU than most. Are you pre-assuming an NU win as well?

I also find it odd that an IU team that will win single-digit games has to play on the road against a top-25 team. But that's just me. It's good for the Big Ten, you figure IU was losing their matchup no matter who they played. I guess matching them up with UNC would have been going too far.

To get it out of the way early, Steve Stone loved Neifi Perez, and thought the Maddux for Izturis trade was a stroke of genius. Also wanted to trade Aramis for Izturis.

The team is stuck. I beleive Maddux did this with Atlanta. Leading to the Braves having to trade away Millwood. In our case, we'd have to trade away the irreplaceable Kevin Gregg.

Yeah, I actually started to like him after the Harden trade, but now I'm just confused. How is it confusing? If Wood accepts arbitration, he's going to get at least $8 million, which will take the Cubs out of the Peavy sweepstakes, and really limit his options for a RF most likely. The only confusing part is why he traded for Gregg and let Wood go to begin with if Wood supposedly would have accepted a 1 year deal. Or why he can't trade Gregg after offering arbitration to Wood? Jim Hendry thinks Kevin Gregg is a better pitcher than Kerry Wood. Because things like the durability of a pitcher who has had constant injury problems and almost gave up on the game a little over a year ago don't factor into his value? In an admittedly small sample size, Kerry's injuries as a bullpen pitcher consist of blisters.

Well, Ricketts is a Cubs fan. So hopefully that means something. He recently met with Steve Stone to get some feedback I'm told. Oh for crying out loud.
