  1. Brock you lazy [expletive].
  2. Imagine what a team like UConn would do to us. Thabeet alone would go for about 50 pts/20 board in 15 minutes.
  3. SHOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  4. Chester Frazier = Ryan Theriot.
  5. Hey guys, play more uninspired.
  6. Mike Stanton is 52 years old. He's not an option.
  7. there was a woman on suze orman (i don't really watch her show, it was on at work and i was facing the tv as i worked) who was being interviewed. the audio wasn't on but according the captions they were putting on, she and her husband were out $5 million, she had to go back to work and they were living paycheck to paycheck. it certainly didn't sound like madoff only took a portion of their money. Okay, but where is the evidence that she's smart? i believe that she and her husband were successful businesspeople. i don't know what they go on their SATs though so you're right, they could be 5th grade dropouts who fell into a successful business. So they let our country down?
  8. Loser gets hit in the head with a shotgun.
  9. With Marquette and Pitt having a rough last 3/4, Villanova should grab that last double bye.
  10. I like UConn. I still think Marquette is a tad overrated. They're better than I expected them to be at the start of the year, but their record is inflated based on not having played any of the top 3 teams yet, nor have they played Syracuse. They're still protected seed good, but I could easily see a 1-3 finish here.
  11. Didn't the compliance staff discover all of Sampson's phone calls last year? Didn't they report the violations? And didn't they "punish" IU for it? It's not that difficult to monitor these things. It's amazing to me that a school fresh off last year's nightmare wouldn't be on a coach's ass about keeping records of this stuff.
  12. if they got in trouble for paying their players, they wouldn't be a force. goes both ways. Has this even been suggested anywhere with regards to basketball? And even if what CCP said is true(doesn't seem to be based on much other than the fact that yes, many schools self-report minor violations), it doesn't change that it's colossally stupid for Indiana to make even 1 mistake with regards to phone calls. To expand on my point, Indiana is on PROBATION for making excessive phone calls. They made an extra phone call, and self-punished by not making any phone calls during a random week in December. What's the point of probation, if you're still allowed to just decide your own punishment when you break the rules? Why didn't they just dock themselves another scholarship this season as punishment? Or did they use all those up for their horrible APR scores in the coming years?

  14. Good point. We tried that last year. He had a decent run, but Mr. Edmonds couldn't do enough for us in the postseason. You shut your mouth when talking about Jimmy.
  15. Being good with money is an acquired skill, and there's nothing about pro athletes that makes them more likely to have that skill than the general population. That's why so many of them end up legitimately broke. There's actually something about them that makes them far less likely to have that skill than the general population.
  16. Do you mean next year or within the next few years? Vitters having the kind of year he's capable of means that he likely shows up in top 10 lists next season. Of course, I believe that if he has the kind of year he's capable of, he'll have the kind of season that Dope put up in the MWL. I should have clarified. Did you mean that about anyone else in the system next year, or anyone else in the system within the next few years? Next year. Some of the SS's down in rookie ball have enough in the way of tools that they could be perceived at that level if they perform, but it would take a few years for them to get there. From a pitching standpoint... I guess the only guy that has enough in the way of scouting glory to ever be perceived as a top-10 in baseball guy is cashner. If he's going to do it, it would be by dominating as a starter this year. In which case, next year would be his only year he could be in those rankings. I guess I'm just not holding out much hope for that level of performance from him as a starter. Jay Jackson.
  17. If the tourney doesn't take 9 Big East teams it's because there aren't 9 deserving teams. Do 2 of Notre Dame, Providence, and Cincinnati really belong?
  18. I did not mention that, quite the opposite. any specific reason given for the lack of interest? He hits with his right hand.
  19. Down goes Pitt.
  20. Chris Kramer would be proud.
  21. I thought only we did that.
  22. Why'd he wait til after it dropped to wave it off?
  23. Holy crap, Pitt cut it to 7.
