  1. Was Rondo even the one that made Miller bleed/lose his tooth, or was it his goofy ass falling face first into Pierce's elbow?
  2. The best secret is don't park near Wrigley. Park a little further away and enjoy a nice little walk. Yep, assuming decent weather, park a mile west of Wrigley for free, and walk. .... or park 2 miles west of Wrigley and ride the 152 Addison bus for $2. Some of us can still walk a mile without taking a break halfway. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  3. I'm not sure I agree with what that being what I said in the Illinois threads. Illinois NEVER went to the line, and it made sense because their 2 big men were jump shooters, and their 2 players on the entire team who ever took drove the ball inside 15 feet. I had the Celtics pegged as similar teams with regard to drawing fouls(which Tyrant corrected me on for post trade deadline #s, though still the free throw disparity is in line.), which is why I brought up FTs.
  4. He told you anything was possible.
  5. I guess I'm not trying hard enough.

  7. Ultimately it doesn't matter because win or lose the Celtics are going win as many NBA Championships as the Bulls will this season - 0. I didn't expect much from the Bulls this series, I'd only like to see them win to stick it to Garnett. All his antics and crap, gosh I would have loved to see him pull that sh*t on MJ. MJ would have not only beaten him, he would have rubbed it in his face for good measure. I personally was disgusted by KG's nut grabbing in game 4. Must be fun to be a part-time troll. Pointing out hypocrisy is not trolling. Ben Gordon has been as big a thug as Garnett in this series.

  9. I don't think that flagrant gets called on any team in any arena at that point in the game. The only flagrant I can ever see getting called that late in a game is an actual push, or clear path grab.
  10. Because Truffle says they're all terrible.
  11. No, we're looking at the current-makeup Celtics shooting fewer free throws than the current-makeup Bulls (about 22.5 to 26). And the Bulls have shot 2.6 more free throws per game than the Celtics in the playoffs. We're looking at a 1 free throw difference. Right. And you were the one who originally brought up the Bulls shooting more free throws than the Celtics, like it meant something. I was pointing it out to point out the absurdity of the "refs are out to screw us, they want the marquee hobbled Celtics matchup over exciting young Bulls" crew. People were freaking out in here over no foul for Derrick Rose tripping over his own feet down the stretch. These threads are becoming Cub game thread like. Only with way less self-loathing.
  12. I believe it was Erin Andrews who reported that somebody in his party whiped his brown and said, "phewww" when Oakland did not pick him. Which player had the plumbers crack chick? That was painful. The guy right next to him in that gif does it.

  14. Over the entire season, yes. But when Garnett went out, they became more perimeter-oriented and their attempts dropped from about 26 a game to 22.5 per game. The Bulls' attempt ticked up just a tiny bit with the addition of Miller and Salmons, as well as Rose going to the basket more late in the season. I would've thought the picked up pace of the Celtics would've cancelled out the Garnett factor. So what we're looking at is, the current-makeup Celtics are pretty much shooting the same amount of free throws they did all season relative to the current-makeup Bulls.
  15. How does Ray Allen foul out in 26 minutes?
  16. Celtics shot 33 more free throws than the Bulls during the regular season.
  17. Because you don't want the rules applied consistently. You want them applied consistently for your team. I can only imagine the outrage on here if Hinrich did that to Perkins and a flagrant was called. It's not like they didn't call a foul in that situation. They called it correctly, it's pretty difficult to assume intent when a guy is swatting towards a guy's arm. This looks a lot worse from this angle btw compared to the back angle that actually shows Rondo's arm get mostly back.
  18. You really think FTs attempted mean anything? There's a lot to consider besides just that. You really think the Bulls are much if at all more of a penetration/post team?
  19. Look, there's contact on damn near every drive to the basket to the NBA. It's the refs discretion that decides whether it's enough to warrant a foul being called. Being Bulls fans, you're looking for it on every time there's contact, then complaining if there's a whistle the other way if the guy doesn't fall to the ground(and even then most of the time he's "flopping") Should Perkins have had more than 0 fouls(going off of whoever siad that, I wasn't sure how many he had)? Most likely. Should Ray Allen have had less than 6 fouls? Most likely. Expecting a flagrant on Rondo is absurd, and if the Bulls announcers were losing a lung over it, then they're just continuing their storied history of being horrible homers. Rondo took a desperation swat at a guy that was in front of him. This wasn't a "clear path" foul, it wasn't Rondo giving him a bear hug, it wasn't Rondo giving him a blatant push. It was a desperation swat that hit him in the face. The Bulls have shot more free throws than the Celtics in every game but game 1.
  20. The Bulls have won 2 nailbiters. The Celtics have won 2 nailbiters. The Celtics have one utter embarrassment of the Bulls. Celtics = Bulls?
  21. As long as we're going to hammer on the refs for every single call they made, right or wrong: Were any of Ray Allen's 6 fouls legit? Did Tony Allen even touch Gordon on the 2 pointer they gave him free throws on? Have the Bulls stopped fouling Paul Pierce on every drive yet?
  22. What'd they grab their nuts to taunt the Bulls after the win or something?
  23. Paul Pierce is not "basically a jump shooter"
