Alberto Cabrera is the pitcher Bosio was refering to I guess, so yeah, I guess he is throwing 97 now in camp.

For those that missed it this morning, on Mully & Hanley they had an interview with new Cubs pitching coach Chris Bosio. Tons of great stuff including their strategy of fixing Marmol and how they are breaking down the fundementals on all pitchers. He mentions pitcher in camp, Cabrera, and how just simply tweaking his grib had him going from 94 on his fastball to 97. This guy seems to know his stuff and should definetly be an upgrade over that corpse last year, Mark Riggens. Baseball Writers don't vote on WAR, they vote on numbers like HR's and RBIs(not saying I agree with it), but he's 27 with only 128 HR's and would have to go on a tear of multiple 40 HR seasons into his mid 30's to get in the range of 400-500 that he would probably need to get in.

I'm going to flip out if I see that "Jerry Rice ran a slow 40" example one more time. Thousands of WR's have been drafted since then, and people still use one single example. The 40 time may not be the "be all to end alls" but it's a very important tool to evaulating WR's. What about the countless times it's accuratley revealed a red flag? Like Mike Williams, who was a sure fire top 5 pick, till the forty raised some eyebrows about his ability to seperate at the next level. There has been plenty of times were it has accurately dropped the value of a player and vice versa where a lesser known prospect defined himself with running a good time. Please, please, stop with the Jerry Rice cliches

I don't see imb and SouthSideTrolling's angle in this thread? I think 95% of Bulls fans are of the opinion that the Bulls need to error on the side of caution here and give Rose all the time he needs to heal from this. Really all these obnoxious CAPS LOCK posts are just annoying.
