  1. I know they interviewed Rod Chudsinksi two years ago for Offensive Coordinator, did he pass on the job, or did the Bears pass on him? If the Bears pass on him, what a huge error. This guy is on the verge of being a head coach in the NFL. The Bears really struggle with getting good people here on the offensive side.
  2. Does Alex Van Pelt do anything for you guys? :hello:
  3. I think Jacksonville threw in the title as Assitant Head Coach, but yeah this is a bit disturbing, nonetheless.
  4. Yeah, Telender. He's useless. He got bullied in the Bears locker room a few years ago and has been pissed off ever since. He writes these trash jobs every now and then.
  5. Damn, I was hoping he was leave as a FA for the Bulls.
  6. This is the tweet Heyman also said, he may want to play for the Marlins, or he may not. Depending.
  7. I would "hope" it just means we are just doing some research on a mid round possiblity at the position. I don't believe any of the first round prospects like Blackmon, Floyd, Jeffrey, or Wright are at the Senior Bowl.
  8. The trolls have tag teamed again, I see.
  9. Like I said, weeks ago, Ted Phillips is not qualified to make this hire. Really? This was the best he could do?
  10. That's still not an impressive resume. Guys like Ross and Raye have much more NFL related accomplishments in a shorter period of time. This hire sucks. There I said it.
  11. He was a strength and conditioning coach/coordinator for several years and had experience as a position coach in the 80's. He's a football lifer. As I understand he was just a general S&C coach for the Navy That seems to have little to do with football.
  12. Another issue I have with this hire, is, he's only been in the scouting(personal) game since 1998. He wasn't doing anything football related before then? Why? I only bring it up because he's kind of old, and one of the knocks on the younger guys like Raye and Ross is expereince, well crap, they almost have as much experience as this guy.
  13. Not happy. Again, what did he ever do as a scout here to distinguish himself? I believe his tenure was the Hatley era and the first year of the Angelo era, our drafts during that time were pretty damn bad, no? I'll give it a chance, he's got a franchise QB, so he needs to find some weapons around him and start replacing the aging defense. Let's see if he can manage that.
  14. I think you are all going to be dissapointed. My gut tells me it's Emery w/ Ruskell staying on in a support role.
  15. I don't know how reliable this twitter link is, actuall i guess is the kip lewis dude of comcast, Jimmy Raye is not a candidate anymore https://twitter.com/#!/Kiplewistv/status/161543222890475521 It's down to Jason Licht(Patriots) Marc Ross(Giants) Ray Emery(Chiefs) Tim Ruskell
  16. Actually Corbett was attorney general of Penn during the time Sandusky abused these children and never brought charges against him. So yes, in addition to today's stunt of lowering the flags(completely uncessessary), I believe he doesn't support the rights of young children.
  17. Governor Tom Corbett, also supports child rape http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2012/01/23/pa-govenor-orders-flags-to-half-staff-for-paterno/

    SUPER BOWL 46

(@TT)I disagree, I think schedules can make a big difference in the NFL, especially with conferences that are consistently bad. Look at the Tampa Bay Bucs last year, they got to play the AFC and NFC west and won 10 games. The AFC West has been a pushover for a while now and the Patriots did a good job of beating them up.. and then they got the luck of the draw by getting the worst team to make the playoffs, the Broncos. Biased aside, I think top to bottom the Giants are a better football team. Their defense, esp front 7 destroys that of the Patriots. On the offensive side of the ball, I think it's a push Brady>Eli (Eli could even this out if he plays to his potential) Pat's Oline >> Giants Oline Giants WR's >>>>>> Patriot's WR's Giants RB's>>Patriots Rb's Patriots TE's>>>>Giants Te's

    SUPER BOWL 46

In a game between two teams I don't really care for, I'd rather the team I feel is more deserving(i.e. didn't lose 7 games) win the championship. I can respect the sustained success the Patriots have had even if I don't root for them, the Giants are like the '06 Cardinals. Before yesterday, the Patriots hadn't beaten a winning team all year. And considering the Giants won the head to head matchup in November, I don't see how the Patsies are more deserving.
  20. We could survive that, I'm guesisng Brewer(who's been playing great) would slide into the 3 and Jimmy Butler would finally get some burn. Man these injuries are f' crazy. I have never seen anything like it on a basketball team.

    SUPER BOWL 46

Outside of being a long time fan of the Patriots, anyone cheering for the Patriots in this one would generally just have to be a pathological douchebag, IMO. What's really to hate about the Giants? Maybe Eli over the draft day thing but that was eight years ago. I think you have to admire the way they have gone about building their team via the draft. There is no goon the the Giants, they generally are all likeable guys.
  22. "Being Old" isn't the same thing as "Being unhealthy"
  23. Here's how I break it down 1) Licht. The Patriots guy. He's a non factor. He wasn't even in the Patriot war rooms. BB runs that entire show. 2) Raye. Many people have pointed out that the Chargers drafts have been gone downhill since 2007, and it seems they really have. That's right around the time Buddy Nix left. So who was running that show, Nix, AJ or Raye? 3) Emery. Gets some nice reviews for his scouting in Atlanta and KC. But he was just one of many in both places, and again, Pioli runs that place pretty much 4). Ross. Great drafts and here for the most part it's just Ross and Reese the GM spearheading the draft. (Less cooks in the kitchen IMO) So forgetting Ruskell this is how I would rank the candidates 1) Ross 2) Raye 3) Emery 4) Licht.
  24. I'm so on the Ross bandwagon for many reasons. For instance, the Giants completly rebuilt their WR core for their last superbowl run. There was huge question marks especially going into 2009 after Plax was in jail. The Giants revamed their WR's with Nicks, Manningham, even Steve Smith was huge for them in 2009(another draft pick). Then they go out and get a guy like Cruz this year. Now the only thing to consider was this all Ross' doing or Jerry Reese? However Reese has cited Ross as the key guy in scouting all these players.
