  1. When is this going to start?
  2. I feel games like this are necessary to combat the retards that chant "MVP" when the bulls win minus Rose, (ie taking a sideswipe at his credentials for winning MVP) this game is a reality check...we suck ass without Rose
  3. Derrick has starting light running today, which is good news http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/7728300/chicago-bulls-derrick-rose-runs-pool-day-day-groin
  4. First off, you really shouldn't listen to the radio. Secondly, there's a hell of a lot of people touting the "pay the man" line over and over and over. Yeah, both sides are annoying. I don't know why everyone has to take a side in this.
  5. If Rizzo is the real deal, we have the financial resources to pay him regardless. We are not a small market team that has to worry about losing him.
  6. And that's meatball opinion I was talking about. He could easily get more than 20 mil on the open market, and he's knows it and is frustrated..especially considering his hands are tied. But he's not on the open market so that point is completely meaningless. It's the rules of the game. If he doesn't want to play fine, but he won't get paid at all that way. It's the rules and I support the Bears 100% in their decision. But if you can't understand his frustration, I don't know what to say.
  7. "I'm Bill from Oak Lawn and I've been a Bears fan all my life. I make 12.50 an hour as a painter, so this Forte should just take his money and shut up and be happy" That's all I hear on the radio these days.

  9. No I don't see the point of keeping him down just for arbitration purposes. Keeping him down because he just isn't ready, I agree with.
  10. Do we have any factual idea of what was offered? I've heard anywhere as high 16 and as low as 12.
  11. If he's tearing up AAA and ready for the big leagues, I don't see the problem. I don't see the point of playing the "clock game". But that's my view.
  12. I think it is strange that you think people's perception is based on a tweet. His act didn't start with a tweet. Yeah, he's started this act with a holdout..oh that's right, he's never done that. He's showed up and played, and produced. he's bitched on twitter and comments to the media when asked. He's pissed. He's human. I can't believe people are really taking offense to this. I'll be mad when he actually holds out and hurts the team.
  13. ok, well thanks for your opinion. But if not May it will be very soon.
  14. Rizzo will be back by May, when LaHair has pooped the bed miserably.
  15. They are completely unwarrented and unjustified. The Bears drafted Matt Forte and signed him to a rookie contract. They have also signed free agents to help carry the load in part so that Forte wouldn't be running the ball 300 times a year. They would be negligent if they didn't bring in free agents. The Bears are in the middle of an offseason where they are trying to significantly add to the offense. They are in the middle of free agency season and guys are coming off the board everyday. What Forte seems to be suggesting is that the Bears shouldn't address needs and shouldn't sign free agents until they come to an agreement on his contract first. They should put their pursuits of free agents on hold because he is more important. They should agree to his demands today, four months before the deadline to sign him to an extension, rather than try and improve the team. They could draft a RB. Bring in UDFAs. Hell, I don't see what was wrong with Khalil Bell? Why can't he be a #2? And Marion Barber is still on the roster. He did a fine job last year other than 2 plays. I really think they'll trade Forte at this point, because like you said...Bell and Barber actually were fine last year, with Barber's 2 play exception. I think the Bears just flat out don't want to pay premium RB price. I agree with Jersey here. I think Forte has handled this horribly so far and should have taken the deal the Bears offered him. Now he's pissed because he has next to know leverage and portraying himself as the victim. So sorry Matt, but good guys do finish last when they make poor business decisions. That said, I'd be thrilled if the Bears could trade him for some quality draft picks, but I'm not sure I see that happening. Maybe I'm just too jaded from Jerry Angelo's tenure, but I'd be shocked if they made a move like that. That's nonsense, he shouldn't have to take a deal if he feels it's well below his market value. It's his personal decision. An handle this horribly? Get back to me when he is holding out or causing trouble in the locker room.
  16. 1) Why are we trading Forte already? 2) Bell and Barber fine? What the.....I must have been dreaming when Barber pissed away two games with his stupidity, and Bell fumbled the football every other attempt. Is there no middle ground? Yeah, I don't think the Bears should break the bank for Forte, that said he isn't just replaceable like that either.
  17. Is Forte holding press conferences bashing the Bears? Is he creating a distraction in the locker room? Did he create a distraction in the locker room last year? No he didn't. By all accounts, he's a great teammate. He's just pissed now, like everyone in this board has been when they didn't think they got a big enough raise or promotion. Again, the meatballs need to stop with the stupid cliches "He should be happy with this money in this economy" He isn't your average Joe, and he's watching opportunities to make generational wealth go out the window.(the difference between earning millions and tens and tens of millions). If him bitching on twitter really offends you as a fan, then you are just obtuse.
  18. No they aren't. People are coming down on him for being a little bitch and pretending the Bears haven't tried to sign him to an extension that guarantees him a heck of a lot of money.. And those people are morons. The fact that "Bob from Cicero" makes only 45K a year has nothing to do with this situation. Now I fully agree with the Bears strategy, I would not overpay for a running back in today's NFL. That said, I do understand Forte's frustration. If he was an UDFA on the market, he could easily get over 20 million guaranteed. He's upset and just venting on twitter, I'd say it's premature to call him a bitch considering he's never even held out.
  19. Good for Goodell. All punishments well deserved.
  20. Do you enjoy's CJ inability to hit a jumpshot now? Or his inability to run the P&R or pass for that matter? Maybe it's still his ankle, but clearly JL3 is the better option at this point. We'll see if that changes or if teams adjust more to Lucas.
  21. Can we all agree that JL3 should be the #2 pg behind Rose?
  22. I love John Elway
  23. Do you get a free bowl of soup with that shirt?
  24. They are gonna run the "veer" http://images.usatoday.com/life/_photos/2006/12/22/marshall.jpg
  25. Yeah, that's pretty awesome. Coples is a top 10 talent. Minnifield is a 1st round talent that didn't have as good a year or measure as tall as listed in college. Getting him in the 4th is ridiculous. Green in the 5th is just as ridiculous. To me, those are all top 100 players in this draft (maybe Green in the 110 range). That would be a great draft. It's pretty awesome and pretty nice work of fiction. Coples would have to be caught with a dead hooker in his trunk to fall that far, same for Minnifield. Where do people come up with this stuff?
