  1. No it was bad. The scout master got his boy scout, not an impact football player. How can you possibly know this, without him playing a down in the NFL.
  2. Undersized by 20 pounds? That would put him @ 277-280. I can tell you this, outside of Julius Peppers(freak), you will hardly see a defensive end that big in Lovie's scheme. Right around 260 with speed is how they like them.
  3. Yes, never mind the huge game he had against Georgia. Or that the fact that dozens of analysts had him as a 1st round pick, or the fact that he was invited to the first day of the draft.
  4. Myself, I probably would have taken Mercilus, but on the bright side, we didn't draft Chandler Jones. I mean watch some video of McClellin, and then a guy like Jones, and tell me McClellin isn't more quick and violent off the snap? And the Theriot crap is just nonsense, he isn't just some try hard white guy, he had one of the fast 40's at the combine along with one of the fastest 3 cones and standing jumps. He's got the measurables. Could he be a bust? Sure? But again, let him play a snap first.
  5. We have no idea how he's going to do at the next level, so all we can probably judge right now is value. This wasn't like Seattle taking Irving, as I understand it, McClealin wouldn't have made it past GB or New England in the first, so I don't think it was a horrible reach. And last I checked, Ted Thompson knows something or two about the draft.
  6. Maybe some of you armchair gms should wait till he plays an NFl game before writing him off as a bust?
  7. speak proper grammar before saying anything. ;) Have a point for once.
  8. It's not that bad of pick, some of you are reduculous
  9. Chandler Jones also missed 5 games last year to due to injury, I thought with Emery we were also past the "picking guys with medical flags" thing?
  10. Evan Turner is a punk, wasn't he trying to talk trash to D. Rose back in high school?
  11. I miss Rick Gosselin's final mock :(
  12. Man I hate the Pacers, I can't wait to see them get wiped in the first round
  13. The Bears don't have the capspace to trade for Osi under his current contract let alone the fact he's barking for a new deal. It's not going to happen.
  14. Do you the Yankees have any collection of prospects that would be worth dangling Garza for?
  15. lol It's really not out of the question that we could lose 97 games, I'm suprised you think this is funny. If we go up and down the roster, for every player underperforming, you could also find a player not likely to continue at this production rate. Do you really think LaHair is going lead all firstbasemen in OPS by September? Seriously, this is the kind of logic/argument I absolutely hate. You begin by saying that, at best, we can win 65 games, which would give us a record of 65-97. Then when someone dismisses this (granted, without any argument, but still), you come back with it not being out of the question that we could lose 97 games, which, about ten minutes earlier, you said was our best case scenario! Does this piss anyone else off as much as me? You should really re-consider your priorites in life if it pisses you off THAT much.

  17. Maybe he didn't want to sign a 1 year deal with a team that probably wasn't going to the playoffs? Yeah and I think people might sometimes forget that its possible some of these FAs didnt want to waste 1-3 years playing for a rebuilding team. If the money was right most would, but I dont see the Cubs overpaying to make a 60 win team a 65 win team. This is not a 60 win team...an entire 18 games notwithstanding. 63-65, at best
  18. Maybe we should find an excuse to avoid every possible free agent with upside that might cost a bit? They better use this savings to eat Soriano's contract this offseason.
  19. re:LaHair, does anyone know how many "At Bats" he is short from being on the qualified list for official stats?
  20. Carlos Beltran, now he was too expensive too, right?
  21. Yeah, beating the Bulls tonight would be akin to winning the championship for the Pacers. Is the champagne on ice in Indy?
  22. Lol @ Soriano acting like he won the game, it shoulda been a routine out
  23. Does anyone expect Bowman to make the right moves this offseason? This is the same guy that got rid of Campbell(who we cleary miss) then blew a majority of that space on useless pieces like Brunnette and Montador.
