This is like when Wesley put iocane powder in both goblets, leading to Vizzin's demise....or something like that. woah, Bagwell is a future HOFer, I like the trade, but let's pump the brakes a bit

    Pretty depressing seeing the potential prospects for Maholm in comparison to Delgado, even though as mentioned Maholm isn't that far off in terms of value(vs Demp). For whatever reason, the Braves were hot on Dempster and that was a rare, rare opportunity to cash in. Wren might have been high. Curses.

    Dempster made sure the Dodgers had the Cubs over the barrel. There was hope something might change 3 or 4 days ago. As the deadline approaches the Cubs have to decide whether what little the Dodgers are offering is better than nothing. Holding on to Dempster, isn't nothing.

First off, we drafted him to be a difference maker at defensive end, not to play special teams, and what is this nonsense about him not being in the rotation at DE? There's no redshirting here, if he can't be in the rotation right away, then you failed with the pick.

    I'll be in the minority, but I don't think Lindblom would be a horrible return, considering he's cost controlled for a few seasons. Maybe they also think they can make him a starter?

    Regarding the Zambrano deal, I'm wondering if it would have been more productive to pay Zambrano to sit home this year, rather waste on roster spot on Chris Volstad.

    On the bright side, after a brief skid of winning, we are starting to climb back up in the fecal league standings. Currently 3rd pick in the 2013 draft.
