If the Dodgers start playing hardball, then I would actually wouldn't mind the Cubs just walking away. Dempster has rights, well you know the Cubs have rights as well. If he doesn't want to help us, then the Cubs don't have to help him by sending him to his #1 destination.

Stop it. They didn't trade him last time for a [expletive] offer, I hardly think they will trade him this time for a worse than [expletive] offer. They didn't take the previous poor offer because it appeared there were other alternatives. If Demp shoots this trade down, then there are no other options for the Cubs. You do know they don't have to trade Dempster, right? And you do know they won't get as good of offer again as Atlanta had on the table, right? I don't know what's so hard to understand about this.

So you're upset that Dempster is having a good year this year? No, I'm upset that we will never get a deal nearly as good as Delgado for him.

And Dempster's 35, what are the odds he'll be leading the league again in ERA next year? Odds are he won't be worth nearly as much next year as this year. This sucks.

Stop it. They didn't trade him last time for a [expletive] offer, I hardly think they will trade him this time for a worse than [expletive] offer. They may have no choice if he'll only sign off on LA. There only other option is to hold him and hope he declines arbritration. Or hold him and just send a message to other teams that you won't trade rentals for [expletive], but I'm not sure how that helps the Cubs in the long run.

The Cubs have been nothing but great to Dempster his entire tenure here, I'm shocked he would screw them like this.

I don't get it, Atlanta is a good team this year, I can't speak for itself as a city(only passed through), but it's not a complete dump like Detroit or Cleveland, I really don't get it. Bite me Dempster, you cost us Delgado.

Why could he be so much for LA and against Atlanta? The teams have identical nearly records(playoff prospects) etc. I just don't get it. Could he have had some type of handshake agreement with his agent for an extension in LA?

What a terrible list. I guess I can buy Detroit #1, if you go by the theory that Calvin Johnson is so much better than every WR on earth that he alone makes them the top WR corps. But if that's the case, Arizona should be much higher. But Cincy at #7 with AJ Green and 3 rookies? Jackson and Maclin in Philly ranked higher than more productive duos such as Nicks/Cruz, Wallace/Brown, Jones/White, Austin/Bryant? I even think 31 and 32 are mixed up. sbnation is basically the BleacherReport, meaning any dolt can write for them. I have no idea why articles like this upset you guys so much.

I believe last year the Bears were offering 1 more season, but 4 million less in guaranteed money. So for all this huffing and puffing by Forte, he essentially got four more million in guaranteed money. The Bears totally won this standoff, imo.
