    Horton pulled in the 3rd after allowing a swinging bunt single to 3B; getting another swinging K (on a fastball); and a jam-shot bloop single. He was at 47 pitches.

    Their manager should be fired for having both Hernandez and Ballesteros out of the lineup on the same day.

    Horton's slider is as advertised. Got 2 Ks and a dribbler in front of the mound off the slider in the 1st.

    And none of the groundballs were hit hard. A different right side of the infield gets at least 2 of those.

    You may be right. Milb.com lists Michael Arias as the starter today, although it's fair to note that they get it wrong plenty of times throughout the year.

    5 hits allowed and 4 were ground balls. Was pretty efficient as well (especially for him) with 61 pitches in his 4 innings.

    Mash Mervis grand slam. Off a lefty again. He’s seen almost exclusively lefties so far.

    No Porter Hodge at SB means he's either Tennesee bound or on the IL. He just pitched down in AZ so here's hoping it's the former.

    AZPhil's list of stretched out pitchers for SB is Birdsell/Hodge/Little/Gallardo/Connor Noland/Adam Laskey/Adam Thoreson. Kohl Franklin is listed as on the roster but isn't stretched out.
