I doubt he'll be the starter in year 1. Emery said he can come in and contribute right away. I don't see any way for an OL to contribute right away if he isn't on the OL. And he was drafted in the first round, so he better freaking start somewhere. Maybe Emery & crew know what they're doing, I don't know. I still think it's a terrible value pick, and it sure looks to me like they got desperate when the run on OL took place earlier in the round. It would seem that way but I don't think that's the case just based on Emery's comments. He had this guy targeted from the start.
This is true. Glad I paid for all that skoolin! Anyway, good SBnation article praising Tillman and really crapping on Florio... http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2012/11/8/3615638/charles-tillman-bears-florio-birth I really enjoyed that article. Thanks for posting.
I can't argue with that. I would be happy with a split against the Texans and 49ers when we play them. I'm actually pretty confident about the game at San Fran.
http://www.chicagobearscentral.com/2012/09/24/bears-23-rams-6-defense-keys-victory/ I've posted my thoughts on yesterday, plus positional grades, if anyone is interested.
That's what I've been thinking. The Packers have weaknesses the Bears can exploit. But, I also have a hard time seeing the Packers losing their third straight game at Lambeau.
I think the media is making it a bigger deal than it is. No surprise. But, if Forte is unhappy he really has no room to complain. In his last 33 carries inside the 5 yard line, he's only scored a touchdown 3 times.
Such a dumb thing to say. The Packers and Lions will throw it better. The Bears don't need to throw it better, they have a better running game, special teams and probably defense.
