  1. I would do any combination of 12+extra picks. If it was 33, 65 I would just go true BPA on 12, 33, 36, 52, 67 targeting #1 WR (maybe Corey Davis), #1 CB (lots of options), 5T, TE, QB, S. Maybe something like 12 - WR - Davis/Williams 33 - CB - Gareon Conley 36 - 5T - Malik McDowell 52 - TE - Evan Engram 67 - S - Desmond King OR 12 - 5T - Jon Allen 33 - WR - Curtis Samuel 36 - CB - Marlon Humphrey 52 - QB - Mahomes/Webb/Peterman 67 - TE - Jordan Leggett
  2. So roster is this at the moment: QB - Glennon, Shaw, ________ RB - Howard, Langford, Karey FB - Lasike T - Leno, Massie, Compton G - Sitton, Long, Kush C - Whitehair, Grasu TE - Miller, Sims, Brown/Pruitt/Braunecker/_______ WR 1 - Meredith, Bellamy/_______ WR 2 - White, Addison/Anderson/Randle/_______ Slot - Wright, Wheaton/Braverman (Royal rumored to be cut) 5T - Hicks, Unrein, Sutton/Lewis-Moore NT - Goldman, Ferguson 5T - _______, Bullard OLB - McPhee, Young, Floyd, Houston, Robertson-Harris ILB - Freeman, Trevathan, Kwiatkowski, Anderson, Jones, Timu CB 1 - Amukamara, Cooper CB 2 - Porter, Hall, Fuller, McManis/Banks/Bausby/Glenn/Reynolds Nickel - Callahan, LeBlanc S - Demps, Amos, Jones-Quartey, Hurst, Bush, Houston-Carson ST - Scales, O'Donnell, Barth Biggest 2017 needs: #1 5T #1 WR #1 CB/CB Upgrade TE Upgrade FS Upgrade T Upgrade #2 NT
  3. What would you take to swap spots with Jax to give them their choice? The famous draft chart says #4 + 2nd = #3 + 4th + 5th, but I can't see that happening. The other "Browns" chart shows the difference in value to be less than any draft pick. I'd think a 4th, maybe a 3rd at most.
  4. They just had a second meeting with Jonathan Allen. While I agree that CB seems out at 3, I don't think it means anything as far as taking a QB there either.....I think Allen(if they aren't scared by the arthritis) or Adams is much more likely than a QB myself.....Or a trade down, if remotely possible. And really like the Cooper move. Wonder if they're looking at Butler as a S? Patterson visited today too. I can't believe that they would risk another top pick by picking Allen who has known shoulder issues. In a vacuum, maybe you can say he's still the top talent and go with it. But after White's injuries and Floyd playing a half season it seems like a bad decision. They've seen the medicals, though, so maybe it's not that bad. If it's something that will be a problem 10 years from now, take Allen if you like him and don't look back.
  5. More of an inside/nickel I think. They're clearly still active on DBs which is interesting considering the draft depth and our current depth. Wonder if Porter could be cut (~3m savings). Perhaps a Fuller trade for a late pick too. They seem to like LeBlanc amd Callahan even though both project as nickel/ST guys. And McManis has been a favorite for a long time as a ST contributor. Let's see... CB: Amukamara, Porter, Fuller, Hall, Callahan, LeBlanc, Glenn, Banks, McManis Safety: Demps, Amos, Jones-Quartey, Hurst, Bush, Houston-Carson
  6. Wtf @ their way of writing innings 68 0/100. Really horsefeathering weird. But exciting stuff nonetheless. Best case scenario for Cease is what? Start 2017 at Low-A, with a promotion to High-A? Then 2018 make it to Tennessee? 2019 big jump to MLB?
  7. I was at the first game Fred McGriff played after he finally accepted the trade after a month or however long.
  8. We wouldn't have wanted him at that price, he's a slot corner that's heavily protected by safeties. I have a feeling that Pace will draft Lattimore and another CB high now, and run with them as the starters. Maybe if there's a trade down or 2. With the holes we have, I really don't see us staying at 3 if there's even a remotely fair offer to move down. And with the injury concerns Lattimore has with his hamstrings, I kind of doubt Pace takes that gamble, at this point. Definitely a disappointing FA no matter what happens in day 2. Alshon signing for one year makes me wonder if he is representing himself. The lame FA signings have to signal that the rebuild is continuing in a more "long term draft based" approach (which I realize should be non-existent int he NFL). Signing Glennon and only mid tier FAs means next year's team is not a leigt playoff contender in Pace's eyes, meaning Fox is gone after next season. To me that puts the QB selection in the 2nd or 3rd round, not the 1st. If no QB at #3, then I think you trade down and let someone else jump ahead of the Jets for their choice of QBs. Or maybe a team that wants to jump the Jaguars for a defender.
  9. Aka the Shea McClellan I don't think Emery saw him as a reach, bruh. Jersey called it the Shea McClellan. I call it the Angelo approach: fixate on a guy, decide you need him, get scared he won't be there with your next pick and then pick the player a round too early. It fits a lot of Angelo picks (or maybe bad picks just fit the narrative). I think Angelo's draft room was incapable of handling the pressure of letting the draft come to them. Nervous that a guy might not be available, they lowered their sights, picked a safe target, then overdrafted them to avoid disturbing their plan. I'll bet they could have submitted their picks a week early and gotten everyone they wanted through this approach. All just thoughts from all the drafts I watched over the years.
  10. He's ahead of schedule for an injury that will keep him out at least hlaf the season.
  11. I want to see the Kiki Hernandez (can't remember his exact name) video leading off compared to Zoidberg from Futurama again. Game 1 memories
  12. Wonder what that translates to in WAR? Also, the blue and white uni's in the video are cool, but they make me think of Royals/Dodgers
  13. I would take Cleveland and/or Tennessee, provided we aren't going more than a couple rounds
  14. That reminds me how great that Dodgers series was. I missed seeing the "Kershaw crumple" after Rizzo's homer, though
  15. Perfect example of why I never end up posting much. I post a twitter link to an article I haven't seen and found valuable (albeit a week or so old) and immediately after my post is lost due to real news and never discussed. Not complaining, just an interesting circumstance from a rare poster.
  16. I like this review. I would be good with trading for him provided it's not a first round pick this year (unless we pull some trade down from 3) or next year.
  17. Almora in the 9 spot would be my guess. I think Heyward will get the respect nod to hit in front of Javy, too. Might be a good way for Javy to learn to lay off pitches out of the zone.
  18. So it's Schwarber Bryant Rizzo Zobrist Russell Contreras/Montero (Montero hitting down a spot) Heyward/Baez Pitcher Almora/Jay If we're lucky, sometimes we'll get Javy at 2nd, Zobrist in RF and (fixed) Heyward in CF for the mega offense lineup
  19. Considering Goldman is listed as an edge, I really doubt that. I dont think hes supposed to be though. Seems like user error. Bingo
  20. Also beautiful is Strop's run towards home, cloning his run for Bryant, was it? Last year?
  21. I think EDGE is either a 4-3 DE or a 3-4 OLB
  22. Biggs' mailbag is must read these days. Some of the questions people are sending him are out of this world silly. I think my favorite was "what would it take for the Bears to trade for Garropolo and add in Gronkowski?" Brad is some kind of saint for answering these questions with a quasi-straight face. If they were Boers and Bernstein callers each would be mocked, harassed and haranged by a screeching Bernstein (who is a real a-hole to all callers)
  23. I cant believe I just watched that whole thing. What a sad sad man. Yeah, that makes zero sense. Even if sports were in fact scripted, it's quite an assumption to think that the orchestrators of said plot would leave all these clues for this dingleberry to figure out. Just like the Bond villians explained their plan while he frees himself from restraints. Oh well, that guy is a maniac. Though I might make a bet on his next pick if the odds are right
  24. For those debating how good the Bears front seven is, consider this from PFF. Bears rank 23rd https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-ranking-all-32-defensive-front-sevens-this-season/
