    the stat needs to include intelligence on the basepaths. is there a way to know how often the runner goes from 1st to 3rd or home on a base hit?

    I guess I'm just not sure that adding the DH to the National League is a good thing. So, why would it be a good thing? Because I think it's ridiculous to have 2 different set of rules for each league. Also, the lack of DH means National League teams are shut out when it comes to opportunities to sign/trade for elite hitters who can't/don't field. I don't think over half the teams should be shut out for the chance to sign some of these players. I'd be all for the AL getting rid of the DH, but the union will never let that happen. So the only other option is for the NL to adopt the DH, and have both leagues be the same.

    yay for ohio state being #1 (assuming)! i sincerely doubt they'll be there at the end of the season though. they aren't the best team in college football.

    oh man, hahahahaha. i feel sorry for my friends but i also can't wait to make fun of them. the thing is, the reds have a good offense, and they're probably 1 good starting pitcher away from being a possible nl central contended. hopefully dusty leads them to the playoffs his first year and then cripples the franchise for the next 5.

    jacque jones to the white sox for darin erstad. i thought that too, but then gordon wittenmeyer showed me the error of that thinking. the #1 priority this offseason is to stand pat with jacque jones in center.

    sign eckstein and move theriot to second. sign paul lo duca to play catcher. trade aram for scott rolen. murton + pie for ryan freel. lee + soriano for white, unselfish minor league hustlers. convince jt snow to come out of retirement, sign scott podsednik, and here's your 2008 cubs: 1. podsednik lf 2. eckstein ss 3. rolen 3b 4. jacque jones cf 5. lo duca c 6. jt snow 1b 7. freel rf 8. theriot 2b even if this team sucks, at least they play the game the right way and do all the little things.
