No. The Cubs' best was already in the game. you people sure weren't saying that a month ago. or even 3 weeks ago. judging if the starting pitcher is the best option is entirely dependent on how he was currently pitching. 3 weeks ago is irrelevant.

So you can see the future and GUARANTEE ME that Z wouldn't have given up any runs that inning? Interesting. if he did no one would have been saying "stupid lou, you should have taken z out when he was cruising!" No, but if Lou leaves Z in and he gets 100+ pitches and then melts down in Game 4, then people would have ripped into Lou and would call him Dusty for leaving Z in for too long in Game 1. IF he would have been overused.
