    thanks for adding to the stereotype that cubs fans only cheer for the cubs because the cubs suck and we'd really be pissed if the cubs won the world series.

    189 strikeouts right now. needs 196 to beat adam dunn's record. will he do it? if he hadn't spent some time on the dl earlier, he probably would have broken 200 this year. i guess there's still hope.

    i always kinda wanted cuban to be the owner, but after seeing that pic and reading the article, i definitely want him to be the owner now.

    but with a homerun that tying run that would be on base has already scored. i think a homerun is still better than a double here.

    at best a double can be equal to a homerun, if it's a 9th inning walkoff situation. but a double ever better than a homerun? no way.

    lol, because like the game is so important for them. And has a protest ever turned out into anything besides an apology from Selig? Can someone explain exactly what Lou did wrong? Nothing. The protest is regarding Lou's double switch. The Reds said are protesting because Lou didn't IMMEDIATELY tell the ump what he was doing. But it was completely legit, the Reds are just being jackasses. Seriously, he didn't break any rules whatsoever. he did technically. i don't think anything will happen from it though I'd trust Kasper and Brenly's knowledge of the rules over the hacks in Cincy. perhaps.

    lou piniella made a double switch, but apparently you have to do it before you cross the foul line. lou crossed the foul line then went to the ump. for a protest to hold up it has to directly adversely effect the team, and i don't think the double switch will hold up to that scrutiny.

    Non-issue. What Lou did was completely legal. are you sure? the cincy announcers both radio and tv are saying that lou had to make the switch before he crossed the foul line
