    Its Cedeno its the cool thing to do around here. Every team has to have a whipping boy for the fans, and its Cedeno for this board so one poster can't stand that this board loves cedeno. and you can't stand that cedeno is this board's whipping boy. which one is it? is anyone just ok with cedeno?

    that was so awesome. i don't know if they captured it on tv or not, but when soriano took the field after his 3rd homerun, the whole stadium erupted in cheers through the warm up tosses. the marquis home run ball landed exactly 1 row in front of me.

    in the 1st group shot, i noticed how old joe sewell was. i never heard of him, so i looked up his numbers on baseball-reference, and holy crap something really sticks out. in 1925, in 608 at bats, he struck out 4 times. and that wasn't an anomaly. in his 162 game averages, he strikes out 10 times in 607 at bats. but that's not the crazy part. he wasn't some free-swinging hacker, he actually drew a good number of walks, averaging 72 a season. in his last season he drew 71 walks and struck out 4 times. his isoD for his career is .079. not surprisingly, he's #1 on the career list of at-bats per strikeout by a HUGE margin. sewell had 62.56 at bats per strikeout, and the guy in second place, lloyd waner, had 44.92 at bats per strikeout.

    i'll watch a few innings here and there, but i rarely sit down and watch an entire game unless the cubs are playing.

    when we're hot, the brewers are hot. when we suck, the brewers suck. i guess that's a positive. the head to head matchups will be the key.

    That makes two of us. I'm absolutely expecting a collapse now. Folks, this team is perfectly capable of going 4-20 and missing the playoffs altogether. It's not likely, though. Probably no more than a 20% chance. no, it's not.
