Where do you have the Celtics? And the Bucks? Man i dunno what to think of the Bucks - they dont have a top 25 player but they've got good depth with Salmons, Jennings, Bogut, Drew Gooden, Ilyasova, etc. They're gonna be frisky - but i think if this plays out like Bucher suggests, then they're behind CLE/ORL/BOS/CHI/MIA and still probably ATL. If it goes down like that - the East could be real balanced and fun.

Even though July is irrelevant, as you've stated..his slash line for the months is 278/278/611...an OPS of .889, not .429 as you stated. Look - he's not a perfect player, but he's: *Young, cheap, and team-controlled *A left handed source of power *A decent defender who can play 3 outfield positions *Someone who [expletive] tries on this team, which is a rare commodity on the 2010 Cubbies. So surely you can understand how some are excited by the way he's performed this season. Is he gonna have a SLG of .568 at the end of the year? No. But i'd be willing to bet that he's gonna hit 20-25 HR and be exciting to watch.

Yeah, absolutely, i'm the same way. I was firmly entrenched in acceptance, but today has made me furious. Unlike people that say "oh i'm so cool, i'll see ya in April", I'm not wired that way. I can't stop watching. Sigh. I will say this - I've seen enough of Jeff Phuckin Stevens for a while tho.

2 in a row? Theriot 4 Castro 6 Lee 3 Byrd 8 Colvin 9 Soriano 7 Fontenot 5 Soto 2 Lilly 1 Ramirez - 2nd day off in a row. I like it. If he's not gonna hit, he doesnt deserve to start.

They did fine on the dream team. The last time 2 of the top 5 players in the NBA played on the same team was Kobe and Shaq. It didn't end well for them. And even if they did win championships, they still underachieved, because they should have won every single year. They didn't even play the same (similar) position. Somehow I think Lakers fans think that 3 championships was worth the headache. The Bulls can win plenty of championships with LeBron, Rose, Noah and a big. No Wade needed. Kobe can win multiple rings with a skinny Spanish guy, a one legged Bynum, Kloe Kardashian's husband, and a 60 year old Derek Fisher. Except that skinny Spanish guy is one of the 20 best players in the NBA.

You know what, I would not turn down watching a Bulls team with Rose/Wade/James led Bulls team. I tell ya that. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-wadelebronbulls072010 And now you have this ^^^ who believe the Bulls not only are pushing for a Wade/James partnership (now, I think both Wade and Bulls are using each other to get what each other wants: Wade-Bosh to Miami, and Bulls-James to Chicago) but apparently the Bulls have a deal in place that could send Deng out of Chicago for a "serviceable center." (< I'm thinking either Okur or Gortat) This crap has gotten real and hot in a NY minute. When i Heard "serviceable center" i got to thinking about guys who have similar contracts - what about Tyson Chandler? Is that a possibility? Shoulda looked it up before I posted. Chandler makes 12.7 this year and will then be FA. Deng makes 11.3 and has 4 years remaining. So..that's probably not it.

I dont see how it's funny. Come on. NOne of the other [expletive] has been working. Soto was obv gonna have either tonight or tomorrow afternoon off..and Byrd was probably due a day off too.
