  1. I was joking about grades before but maybe it is? If it was an injury wouldn't they just say it? Maybe whatever it is isn't final yet? Like being appealed?
  2. He needs to stop drinking all that diet coke!
  3. MSU has zero 2013 commits.
  4. Are grades out yet?
  5. Jabari Parker to announce this afternoon. I hope it's not MSU.
  6. That's what I figured. And geez, who was the last OU quarterback to lose two home games in one season? That would be back in the John Blake era, when it was common for OU to use 4 QBs in a game. Danny Hope probably idolized that dude.
  7. Pelicans sounds a whole lot better when looking at the rest of that list.
  8. Has Creek played more than 10 games? Maybe he can get another medical redshirt. edit: oh wait, IU is good so he can probably play like 15 games and get one
  9. 14.2.4.3.6.2 Fraction in Percent Computation. Any computation of the percent limitation that results in a fractional portion of a contest or date of competition shall be rounded to the next whole number (e.g., 30 percent of a 29-game basketball schedule—8.7 games—shall be considered nine games). (Revised: 1/14/97 effective 8/1/97, 4/26/07) http://vmedia.rivals.com/uploads/878/957137.pdf
  10. Not sure why, but the rule is that any decimal rounds up. So even 9.1 would round up to 10 games allowed.
  11. Just one great year out of 4. Would have thought BA could get more of a sure thing. I'm assuming that's sarcasm. Utah State was 9-38 the 4 years before him, and he went 4-8, 4-8, 7-6, 11-2 his 4 years there, with the last 2 years being mostly his players. USU's national defensive ranking went from like 115 - 110 -50 -15 his 4 years there as well. Very good hire. If no CP or PC, then he's prob the next best choice. I agree he's a good coach, the thing that would concern me is zero midwest ties. Like I've said before though, Wisconsin sells itself to offensive linemen and running backs so he's set there. Plus he's got a solid talent base already, a good fanbase, and lots of resources.
  12. He's played 10 games, I can't imagine him getting a medical. The rule changed, a player can play in a maximum of 30% of a team's games now. The way the math works he had to be shut down before last night's game to be eligibile. Plus he only played 70 some minutes. That's no guarantee, but it seems likely. You better hope Purdue makes a run in the BTT or plays its way into the NIT then. They only have 31 regular season games. They'd need 34 in order to get below the 30% threshold. I count 31 regular season games and 1 BTT game. 32 * .3 = 9.6 games and they round up.
  13. He knows he's peaked so he's grabbing everything he can on the way down.

  15. Wisconsin hires Gary Andersen from Utah State.
  16. Purdue is a good rebounding team, a good defensive team, but a terrible shooting team. Kendall Stephens is sorely needed, but they need more than one shooter.
  17. Jay Simpson out for the year for Purdue due to foot issues. I think that's a good thing for him because he should be able to get a redshirt still and he wasn't playing very much. I'm still really excited about his future.
  18. Looks like RG3 is going to be ok.
  19. RG3 is so good, are there any other QBs on the waiver wire that you could snag Sunday in a jam if RG3 is out? I guess it depends on your matchup too. If you think you've got a good shot of winning and can be conservative then I would go Dalton, if it's a close matchup or you're thinking you'll lose it's easier to gamble on RG3. I've got to decide between Matt Ryan and Josh Freeman. I've rolled Ryan all year, only starting Freeman on Ryan's bye. I've also got Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez so maybe going Freeman and spreading my risk around would be a good thing to do? If the ATL offense stalls and I start all three I'm likely sunk.
  20. Yeah, it's not like it's been talked about for the last 20 years or so. Sorry, I'm not on top of my all-Catholic sports league developments.
  21. An all-Catholic basketball league? Wtf?
  22. I hope Jennings can play so he can match up against Cobb.
  23. I made a drunken bet on Cutler/Clay Matthews fatheads with a Packer fan. I really dont' want Clay on my wall but I think it's going to happen. To be fair, it was the week we went 7-1... Was the bet on this game? If the Bears are able to pull it off, you need to do a custom fathead and make it this one. NSFW (it's the Jay flipping the bird pic) http://celebslam.celebuzz.com//bfm_gallery/2012/05/Jay%20Cutler%20Douche%20Finger/gallery_main/gallery_main-jay-cutler-douche-finger-04.jpg Sadly it was on the division, I believe we had a 2 game lead at the time. Can you actually do custom fatheads? That would be fantastic...

  25. I don't know how to feel about this. He still seems incredibly raw, but I don't think the national ratings have caught up with his supposed breakout summer and growth spurt. Is he a good enough player for Illinois to have given him their only '14 scholarship? I know Painter was hard after him and he had offers from Wisconsin and Iowa as well, so four B1G offers.
