I think you could make a good arguement that Bedard and his 13th place VORP last year is a #1. What were his VORP rankings in 05' and 06'? #33 in 2006 (borderline #1) #65 in 2005 (he was injured) Thanks.

We should also make something else clear, this trade is a figment of Phil Rogers imagination. When was the last time any trade he proposed ever actually executed? He made up the scenario, so nobody should get uptight over the players names being mentioned. I see a 3% chance of this trade happening due to the teams involved. Phil Rogers has absolutely no insider information...ever. Good point. -

I don't like it. Especially if we have to give up all 3 of those guys. Maybe Cedeno and spare parts, but I wouldn't include Murton and Marshall for him. -

This is ridiculous. Mark Prior is under no obligation to make positive contributions to your emotional wellbeing. We'll see how he feels when he doesn't get a Christmas card from me this year. :roll: Seriously I'm not going to cry myself to sleep. I guess I value loyalty more than most people. It's not like the Cubs were going to give him league minimum. -

They did have a timeout. Glad I wasn't the only one that realized that. Terrible decision by Lovie. And somehow, he's going to avoid criticism just like he has the whole season. He gave up? I wonder what the odds are of him getting fired this off-season? Not saying I'm for it - but it wouldn't surprise me. Turner has to go.

I loved watching him play at Purdue and think he was a good college QB. I agree though, he's not the answer.

why would he feel any obligation not to go to the team he feels he fits best? why is it classless to go elsewhere in the division? It's a slap in the face to the Cubs fans that idolized him. You know the people that paid for the tickets, bought his jersey, etc. The city of Chicago and Cubs fans made him rich - and we've been waiting (and paying) for a long time for him to get healthy. If he wanted to repay a little bit of what he's been given by all of us he could have taken a two-year incentive laden deal. How about a little loyalty? If he comes back in the 2nd half of 08 pitching for another team in the same division it only magnifies things. Take your smug expressions and get out of town Mark. was it a slap in the face when Fernando Vina left Milwaukee for St. Louis. Or Burnitz signed with the Cubs after years with the Brewers? seriously, FTH are you talking about? I couldn't tell you I'm not a Cards or Brewers fan. I know Burnitz had a pretty big following up here. What does FTH mean? I've always wondered.... -
It's just too bad Urlacher is wasting one of his best games in a hall-of-fame career tonight. INT, fumble recovery, 2 sacks (only 6 tackles, seems like more than that). He's been all over the place.

Two Big Ten QBs.... anyone know what Craig Krenzel is up to these days? According to one of my friends, if a Wisconsin QB starts an NFL game, the universe will collapse into itself. Hasn't happened yet, though. I'm a Purdue guy so I was hoping the offensive line would show up for Orton.
