Long Beach is a tournament team this year, no? Purdue is playing another off the radar but good team today, Iona. Actually the Puerto Rico tip-off tournament they're in has a few good/decent teams. Temple, Alabama, Wichita St., Maryland... If Purdue can win this it should be a nice confidence booster and some great experience. That being said, after High Point earlier this week I could see a loss to Iona today pretty easily. It's definitely going to be an up and down year.

I kind of want Wisconsin to win out and get matched up against Alabama in a BCS game. If Alabama doesn't get a re-match and Oregon goes to the national championship game it could happen, right? I was just looking, and didn't realize that Alabama has played in some Rose Bowls (5th most appearances all-time) but last played there in the 40's (not counting their NC appearance recently).

then every sack is an attempt to injure! the Fairley play was way late, and the one dirty play i've seen from the game on our part, but attempt to injure seems like a major stretch I know you're just trying to defend your boys or whatever, but their is a specific rule against Fairley's type of hit. It wasn't just a 'sack' attempt. It was an intentional and deliberate act designed to injure Cutler.

The next guy who should be brought in is Schwartz. Because it's pretty clear to me this is ultimately coming from him. ...Schwartz was with Suh, and it was Suh who requested the meeting to get a better understanding behind a couple of his fines also, lots of psychotic frothing on this page alone, good lord, people people tend to get touchy when they see a team intentionally trying to injure their franchise quarterback. it'll be easier for you to understand if/when your team gets one. i wasn't able to see the 2nd half, but caught the high lowlights was there anything besides the Fairley late hit (which really wasn't much of an attempt to injure)? The Fairley hit wasn't an attempt to injure? That one was the cheapest and most egregious in my opinion. Late hit and he drove Cutler's body into the ground with all of his weight on top. That's how QBs get hurt all the time.

OSU defensive backs have just been draped all over the Purdue receivers all game long. Between that and Purdue's awful special teams Purdue is lucky to be in this game. Ohio State is so one dimensional it's ridiculous. Purdue repeatedly giving up first downs on QB draws from 3rd and 10+ makes me want to cry.
