Jesus Christ. Purdue 4-10 from the line in the first half today. Slowly sinking towards the worst free throw shooting team in the country. They're going to lose multiple B1G games due to free throw shooting.

Haha, gotta love the guy throwing the ball. How does the biggest guy on the court end up being the only one with a busted face? Clear video evidence of identifiable players throwing punches. Gotta be some big-time suspensions. Xavier has/had a good shot at a deep tourney run. edit: Yancey Gates has gotta be done for the year.

And on the roundtable college basketball article this week on ESPN, 3 different people picked IU over Kentucky as their upset. I have been surprised with how close everybody thinks it's going to be. I guess it must be because Kentucky hasn't had a true road game yet and people think the crowd will really shake them. I'm not very up on Kentucky, but isn't the key to beating them forcing them to shoot from outside and making your own outside shots? Indiana's more of a drive and score type of team and I don't know if that will work against Kentucky's shotblockers, and on defense Indiana doesn't have the big men to really guard Kentucky or much experience playing zone. Indiana will force a decent amount of turnovers though as they get lots of deflections. I'm just picturing a physical manhandling. Kentucky players jumping out of the gym blocking shots. Poor Jordy Hulls running for the Shire.

Indiana only getting 4 points against Kentucky tomorrow? Pomeroy has Kentucky winning by 6? Now, don't get me wrong. I think IU finishes in the top half of the B1G this year. They're much improved and playing at home in the Hall of Calls. That being said, doesn't Kentucky beat them by double digits tomorrow?

Purdue shot 19 of 36 from the free throw line in a 5 point win over Western Carolina. This should've been a 20+ point blowout. We are comically bad at FT shooting. I mean seriously bad. We were 254th coming INTO this game per Pomeroy. I gotta believe we'll be close to 300th after. That just can't happen. I mean, wow.

Purdue shot 23% from the floor and is down 8 at the half at home to the Western Carolina Catamounts (sp?). It could be a really long year.

i know, i can't believe we're going to lose to a much superior team! The team's behavior on the field is an embarrassment. Caleb Hanie may have missed a wide open Bennett, Barber may have lined up wrong, but at least they aren't classless tools.
