  1. Also, the NFL trade deadline is after Week 6 so he wouldn't be able to make any trade deadline deals. Not that it happens a lot.
  2. Haha, what does this have to do with the Purdue job? Or the fact that Purdue lost a game Sunday?
  3. It's going to be a circus. People are already calling for Sanchez's head on weekly basis.
  4. Haha, did you even read what I wrote? I said it would be a bad fit for both sides. It's kind of strange that you're outraged his name came up because he didn't pick UI as an 18 year old kid 20+ years ago.
  5. I wonder if Payton will be able to run practices and such and just not coach on Sundays? Or if he can't even be at the facility for a year?
  6. Ah yes, Gail Fischer, truly the Bob Woodward of our time. Yeah, that wouldn't make sense for anyone. He wouldn't even get a chance from the fans because of the Weber/Keady ties. He's got a nice gig at TN with no pressure and an AD with money. If he has success at UT (he's already landed his first 5 star) for a few years he'll be a hot commodity and can pick a better situation. Martin can go blank himself. He could have played for Illinois and didn't think we were good enough, same to you Chris Collins. He would be blanking himself if he took the UI job.

  8. Plus you can get tickets off stubhub to see them for under $10-15 for any oponent except the Bulls and Knicks (seriously, Knicks?).
  9. I find it amusing that Braun is off to a 1-17 start in spring training and the media is already asking him questions about his 'slow start'. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/143064806.html
  10. They're probably interested because even the biggest of Tebow-hating weirdos would have to admit he has value as a backup QB you have to give nothing up for That would be a terrific career move for Tebow. If anyone can turn him into a QB it's the Packers.
  11. While I agree with your proposed moves, there's absolutely nothing the Bears could have done this season that would have made them the favorites in the division. They could've put out a hit on Rodgers.
  12. He just signed a very lucrative contract as a backup. Yep, I was hoping he would come back to Chicago. He's a completely average QB but there is a lot of value in a league average QB, especially when he's your backup.
  13. I'll never forget the brutal assault on Kramer by Manny Harris.
  14. Zellers don't flop.
  15. Seems like an utterly pointless signing to me. not if you hope to flip stewart for a pick Stewart's four Years younger than Williams, wouldn't they want to keep him?
  16. Mike Tolbert to the Panthers, why?
  17. It's been all over the radio in Indy apparently too. Guy is trying to get hits for his Hammer and Rails site, and it's working...
  18. You work with an idiot. I did say he's a Kansas grad. smack is taking this harder than I thought. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja9iSiUYP_I&feature=youtu.be I don't even have to look, it's been all over the boards today. Guy is proud of it!
  19. You work with an idiot. I did say he's a Kansas grad.
  20. I work with a Kansas alum who claims that Danny Manning is a candidate for the U of I job.
  21. There is some of that going around, but I'm not buying it yet. I think there is probably some negotiating going on here. Reportedly Shaka has some reservations about being able to recruit Chicago, but he's got a ready-made remedy to that problem (Jerrance Howard) waiting in Champaign. Shaka is appealing to me, but I'm not invested in him being hired, either. If these rumors are true, I'd be just as happy with Grant or Williams. After the Matt Painter to Mizzou saga last spring, it's hard to believe any coaching rumors until a contract is signed.
  22. Did someone else post it here?
  23. http://blogs.suntimes.com/hoopsreport/2012/03/shaka_train_derailed_but_still.html Joe Henricksen says 'Shaka Train derailed'.
  24. Well, at least Wood is helping some people on the Mariners make their opening day roster.
  25. to be fair, it's exactly what you saw that made TRob's season pretty impressive. He's faced double and triple teams all year, but he still put up 18/12. Last night he couldn't make a shot to save his life. Probably his worst game of the season. And no one else could make a shot either, so kicking it out wasn't opening up the paint. Still, he had a double-double, and he was able to impact the game in a pretty big way on the boards. Did you see Marcius and Carroll play last night? I mean, I love the guys, and they'll improve but they're not high-major talent right now. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to have Robinson playing for my team. I guess I just saw the worst game of the season for him.
