  1. Both sides of the rivalry do this. edit: oh, and how did Tom Crean as an embarassment to humanity turn into a discussion on IU's championships? He's still an embarassment...
  2. It's always like this. IU fans can't mention their "dusty banners" because 1987 is too remote in time. However, stuff that happened before World War 2, before the NCAA Tournament even existed, is not too remote in time. Haha, and the dusty banners count, but the dusty old wins and conference championships don't... In head to head competition and conference competition Purdue has been more succesful. In postseason tournament competition IU has been more succesful. That's what it boils down to. I still say Tom Crean as the face of IU basketball is an embarassment. Smack is pushing hard for honorary "Bum" status. Seriously, no sane fan would trade IU's success for Purdue's. What? Obviously I would be happy if Purdue had more championships than IU.

  4. Mbakwe granted a sixth year, that's huge for Minny next year. http://www.startribune.com/sports/gophers/143916556.html
  5. You have my vote! My boss is an ECU grad too, though he cheers for UNC basketball.
  6. Oh, I forgot the Death Star and cancer.
  7. Maybe you should stick up for Duke, UNC, Kansas, and Kentucky too? They need your help!
  8. Except the Cardinals are still winning championships. What should Purdue fans do? Grovel? Yay, IU won two this year. That makes them 2-7 in their last 9. Oh yay, they won a championship in 1987 and a bunch more before I was self aware. They should be anointed! How do you like MSU basketball fans and OSU football fans?
  9. haha, nice
  10. I said last year that the tournament is a dumb sample size to evaluate conferences while the Big East (clearly the best 2011 league) was going belly up, and even if the B1G went oh-fer in the S16, it wouldn't change the fact that it was the best 2012 league. Although I admit I'm still rooting for it. Well I'm not rooting for O$U or IU so I'm with ya!
  11. Wow, is the B1G going to go 0-3 against the Big East? Where the [expletive] is Andy?
  12. Wow, how OLD are you? 35, soon to be 36. That's not old. Says the soon to be 33 year old. :D Well apparently it boggles the mind of Da Bum Jr. I clearly remember every game of IU's 1987 title run along with everything after that...the Cheaney years...RMK's plateau and downfall...the 2002 semi-finalist team...so forth and so on. I'm just trying to figure out why any PUke fan would think I care about the overall series. :P Sorry, 7 year old me wasn't celebrating the waining days of IU basketball glory, lol. Wasn't Notre Dame football good then too? Those had to be your glory days.
  13. Wow, how OLD are you? I must be really OLD...I have seen 3 Indiana Championships They have the interwebs in old folks homes? :D
  14. Coming back won't help him. He needs to go before he's exposed, like last year. He's not even the best player on his own team if he comes back. He might not be now. Thomas is better.
  15. Coming back won't help him. He needs to go before he's exposed, like last year. Agreed. He's not going to get bigger and jump higher now. He will probably get bigger, but not in a good way. Probably? You've seen Satch. There is no probably here. I just hope he doesn't go with the pirate earring. That won't help.

  19. Any with a non-blue blood opponent?
  20. I think the fact that Purdue just got swept by IU and might not beat them again anytime soon, that is a lot more telling. We've got like 30 to burn before you catch us in the all-time series... Yeah, I lose sleep at night over that all-time series. So in other words, you accept your role in the grand scheme of things. =D> As, in, we've beaten you more often? Yes? Is IU the only blue blood with a losing record against their chief rival?
  21. M$U, it's like a big family!
  22. There are good fake tans?

  24. BURN! Not the french fries!
  25. Oh, and you IU fans better enjoy your paychecks this week. A Purdue grad was just named CEO of McDonald's. Let's hope he doesn't fire you all!
