But this is basically the group of guys I'm looking at. Left out a couple of soft tossing guys as well, just looked at BA's list real quick and jotted down guys I remember liking something about anyway. Buck Farmer? Walker Buehler? There are some fantastic names in this draft.

    DFAd relievers aren't going to be longterm pieces. When you "hit" on one of them it's for the short-term. I certainly don't care enough to look that type of thing up, but this Asencio guy, for instance, hasput up excellent numbers in AAA, isn't very old, and has years of control left. Not saying he'll pan out, but it's conceivable he could become a legit bullpen piece for 3-4 years. Yeah, relievers of all people are wildcards. Look at Axford's path to the Brewers, or any one of dozens of other relievers.

    Apparently Illinois is after Nic Moore, might that have something to do with Jalen James' situation? Purdue, Notre Dame, and SMU after him as well.

    Yep i'm thinking groce told him thanks but no thanks. it's becoming clearer and clearer that he's not a high-major player at the division 1 level. Not a high major player? Rivals (I know you hate them) has him in their newest Top 100 and the other services have him as a three star. you'll see why. i was a little surprised that he was playing behind bobo drummond, but then i actually saw him play. it wasn't pretty, he's not 6-4 and he cannot dunk any more than i can. his star has fallen from the scout lists and he has been a 4-star the entire time. the current 3-star rating is just because of the early hype he received. we'll see where he is in the fall. La Lumiere's coaching staff probably didn't do him any favors. They think they're on the AND1 Mixtape tour.
