    Cancelled my hotel for Saturday. Guess I'll just have to wait to use the tickets or get a refund, depending on whether or not they decide to play the games at a later date, or move to a different location. I had front row seats in sec. 254

    Luckily, I'm not out any cash for hotel (used my HiltonHonors points)... I'm ticked because this was my only Cubs game I could attend this year (saturday). I'm still holding on to hope that they play the night game, or move it to sunday.

    To all that are going to the Cubs/Astros series in Houston this weekend: I just got off the phone with the Astros ticket services people, and they told me that the games are still scheduled to be played this weekend. If anything changes, that would happen Friday morning, and tickets will be refunded. The number to call if in the event that happens is: 800-278-7672

    I'm with you on that, Vance! I got front row seats in RF on Saturday and a room at the Hilton.... Keeping my fingers crossed that Ike stays away.

    The San Antonio Fox affiliate carried the game yesterday... although it really wasn't worth watching, aside from Z's homerun, of course. :wink:

    Don't you guys remember all the chronic blister problems Ismail Valdez had when he pitched for us? The friction caused from releasing a baseball at such high velocity sure can hinder the healing process!

    In 19 seasons, Bert Campaneris averaged 5 HR a year. In 1970 he hit 22. He only lasted 4 seasons after that going a combined 10-10. (Kinda sounds like Mark Prior!)

    Why? Throwing all sliders out of the zone to Pierre after getting ahead 0-2. I was pissed too, it made no sense. Bob was pretty much saying Pierre sucks. That's exactly what Brenly was saying! "Throw him fastballs over the plate, let him pop it up and go home!" Oh well... Cubs win!

    Yes DirecTV is offering the Game Mix on 720 (nice feature showing 8 games at once thumbnailed), and the StrikeZone Channel (showing live at bats and updates from game to game). Strikezone channel is in SD and HD on 721 and 721-1.
