  1. Random question. How are people turning around and selling these so quickly While making sure the people who buy them on the 2nd hand market get them in time?
  2. Solo couch thing for me. Got some 3 floyds zombie... Ready to go!
  3. Soler surprises me a bit. With AJax I think you ignore Garcias splits and look at the fact that he completely rakes against LHP.
  4. Cubs win this game 5-1 on the back of an 8 inning 1 run performance from Jon Lester! Castro / Coghlan each go 2-4 with 2 RBI's. Fowler reaches base 3 times again including a leadoff triple! Take game 1!
  5. This is going to be long few days leading up to this game! I'll go off the board a bit for my lineup. Fowler Castro Rizzo Bryant Schwarber Jackson Montero Russel Arrieta Cole doesn't walk too many and has slightly better splits vs LHB than righties. Jackson/Castro have been hot and should be in the lineup
  6. Dfa'd by the Jays... Absolutely rakes vs LHP. Would he be worth the pick up?
  7. I think the A's may be interested in Castro due to his contract and potential bounce back. Semien makes Castro look like the best SS ever defensively McKinney, Edwards, Torres, Tseng for hamels Castro and Cash for Zobrist Burks, Pierce Johnson, Zac Rosscup for Parra and Will Smith
  8. I really want Parra, Zobrist and Hamels. Our offense is abysmal. Zobrist and Parra at least bring some hope and take some pressure off of Rizzo and Bryant
  9. I will be staying in Cape Cod the way weekend of August. Championship playoffs will be in full effect, any players I should try to get my eyes on?
  10. I'm thinking Alcantara/Vogelbach/Lake for Price.
  11. Like him or not, Hart has acquired a lot of intriguing SP in his short tenure. Miller looks tone breaking out, Wisler is up, Touki, Fried, Foltyniewicz and a few other more minor trades. They have cleared the books and could turn this around quickly.
  12. I like Koehler as a back end option. I still think the Cubs would need another front end starter if they have a shot at a long playoff run. If the Marlins are making themselves desperate to make changes why not take advantage.
  13. AL West: Angels, Mariners, A's, Astros, Rangers AL Central: Tigers, Indians, White Sox, Royals, Twins AL East: Blue Jays, Orioles, Yankees, Red Sox, Rays NL West: dodgers, Padres, Giants, Rockies NL Central: Cardinals, Cubs, Brewers, Pirates, Reds NL East: nationals, Mets, Marlins, Braves, Phillies AL Wild Cards: Indians, Orioles: Indians win NL Wild Card: Cubs, Padres: Cubs win AL Round 1: Indians over Jays, Tigers over Angels AL Championship: Indians over Tigers NL round 1: nationals over Cubs, Dodgers over Cards NL Championshop: dodgers over nationals World Series: Indians over Dodgers 4-2 AL MVP: Miguel Cabrera NL MVP: Anthony Rizzo AL Cy Young: Corey Kluber NL Cy Young: Steven Strasburg AL ROY: Mookie Betts NL ROY: Jorge Soler
  14. Almora wins Minor league player of the year for the Cubs. Hitting .326/.361/.480 with 14 homers between AA/AAA 2nd base becomes somewhat of a black hole, La Stell/Baez struggle. Russell gets called up late July and plays the season out at 2nd, helping the Cubs reach the wild card and keeping Alcantara as their mini Zobrist. Rizzo hits .278/.384/.529 36/104 and finished 2nd in MvP voting Coghlan returns to bad as well as Denorfia being awful Alcantara plays all over but hits just .246 Castro leads all SS with 94 RBi Soler gets off to a slow start but finishes .255/.320/.490 with 22 homers Bryant comes up April 27th struggles defensively but mashes 27 homers Letters is awesome, Arrieta is awesome. Travis Wood bounces back to better/luckier 2013 form. Hammel struggles mid season finishing with ERA above 4. Mott Takes over closers roles and finishes with 28 saves and ERA under 2.5 Cubs Bullpen finishes top 5 in baseball. Cubs go 87-75, win wildcard play in vs Marlins. Lose round 1 of playoffs to Nats 3-1
  15. Group A: Chris Carter group B: Anthony Rizzo, Carlos Santana Group C: Jay Bruce, Paul Goldschmidt, Ryan Braun Group D: Bryce Harper, Hanley Ramirez, Jedd Gyorko, Carlos Gonzalez, CJ Cron Wildcard: PM'd
  16. I would not trade any of the top prospects yet. Let these guys have another year to evaluate them at the higher levels. Sign a big pitcher next offseason.
  17. So the Nats are still looking for 2B... Could we flip La Stella for Span? its possible we would need another piece but Span makes too much sense for the Cubs and I am still struggling to figure out how La Stella fits in if Bryant stays at 3rd base and Valbuena is still on the roster.
  18. I normally feel the same way about Spring. It has been more fun and should be more fun with the possibility of getting some looks at Russell, Schwarber and Bryant.
  19. I don't believe either of them have any trade value. Castillo has no value?? He may not be worth Zobrist straight up but he should be able to keep you from giving a top 8 prospect. At least it is nice to see some rumors start to pick up again.
  20. Zobrist would be awesome. Looks like Rasmus rumors are coming back as well.
  21. If this means no Gomes I am thrilled. I'm suspecting a fairly relevant trade coming.
  22. AJ Preller is the man! Looks like Hanrahan is going to BOS for Middlebrooks
  23. My friends owns are bar in Austin, he sent me a picture with Ruggiano at his bar down there last summer while Ruggiano was on the DL. Apparently Ruggiano said he didn't expect to be back next year
