    I dont doubt this was the case yesterday, But holy [expletive] does he look bad tonight. He looks so bad its hard to believe he could potentially not be bad. I have hope though. Gasol looks solid and I enjoy watching derrick play basketball.

    Absolutely, but it would never happen. Why not? Too much of an alpha dog for Trestman? Yeah basically. I want Seattle DB coach Kris Richard. But it'll probably be a promotion for Pasqualoni. Trestman strikes me as the kind of guy who wouldn't let meatball crap like that bother him and he'd go out and get the best guy available. What about Trestman strikes you thus?

    Trestman strikes me as the kind of guy who would want to grow the man on his own staff. Trestman will be a lame duck head coach and probably fired by the end of next year. This team is going in the wrong direction.

    Ok fine I see they released it. That said in general hasn't it been that the player is usually not suspended right away. Like in the case of Winston and prince shembo they were never suspended despite similar investigations. I don't think it's The wrong move to suspend him. But I note a difference in how it's recently been handled by big programs.

    If you are suspending a player indefinitely what's the downside in saying why he's suspended? Speculation is he raped somebody at this point. What if that's not even the investigation.

    Then they should immediately release what he is being investigated for rather than have the entire southeast of the US media people speculating whether or not there is going to be a rape charge.

    Well either he was in eligible or not. He can't be retroactively made ineligible. How's his different than FSU playing winston during his investigation. Unless I'm missing something he's either eligible or not eligible.

    What did he do kill somebody? A cancelled press conference because a player who has like 15 career snaps got in trouble? What could he have done?

    No, my understanding is that Butch put most of these guys together at Central Michigan and they've followed him to Cincy and now UT. I would have figured Kelly would have taken the good coaches from CMU when he left for cincy. And wow the second that Florida has a spark on offense it's quickly defused.

    Bryce Petty has 4 career INTs in like 550 passing attempts. Is he considered a top QB coming out?

    So if MSU holds serve against these next few bad conference opponents they will be number 3 or 4 when they play OSU. The buckeyes now have a legit path to the playoff.

    Its always been interesting to me to see what gets more value. Do u knock a team for losing head to head to a good team OR give them credit for losing to a better team than the team that beat them lost to? I mean a convincing head to head victory ought to do it. Not sure why MSU is ranked ahead of TCU.

    Butch was very insistent on bringing his Central Michigan/Cincinnati guys with him to Tennessee and brought almost all of them. I like Bajakian more than Jancek (who failed miserably already in the SEC at Georgia), but I'm not particularly enthralled with either. Still upset Butch didn't keep Jim Chaney as OC. Tee Martin's only shot at a job here was as, if I recall correctly, WR or RB coach and he turned that down. I really do think we need to have Worley keep the ball on some of these zone reads. I'm not sure if it's his call not to keep it or if the staff is telling him to give it up each time, but no matter how good the line is, in this offense if there's no threat of a QB run, they'll key in on the RB every time and stop him. Worley is more mobile than most give him credit for too - certainly fast enough to pick up a reasonable amount of yards 2-3 times a game. And wouldn't these guys be the guys that Brian Kelly didn't take with him from both spots?

    He's blanketed by one guy with two other DBs within a yard of the reciever when the ball gets there. There was absolutely no margin of error as seen in the result. It was a stupid throw.

    People in these threads like to go to an uncommon level of granularity to defend cutler. It's not his fault they lost today. He was 28-36 and 300 yards. But seriously he threw Ito triple coverage and it was picked off. It was probably PI but you aren't gonna get the whistle every time. Going over the middle into triple coverage was a bad decision. He also bounced one off a DB in the final drive. Cutler is not taking any next step as a bear. He's a decent qb. The problem is that our qb went 28-36 and forte had a great game and the offense had a number of short fields and they only scored 24. I blame Trestman's total inability to call the offense with a lead. I blame trestman that we are the worst special teams I've ever seen. All things considered I feel like the defense played pretty well today.

    The other thing is I'm pretty sure that nobody would have made him a head coach and if emery loved him he coulda been had as an OC.

    Is Jared Allen's cap hit $13mln next year and there is nothing we can do about it? Between him and houston i think we have $20mln against the cap on DEs who dont have any impact on the game.

    If your offense only works when all your receivers are 100% healthy than you dont have a good offense. Marshall practiced all week and was declared to be healthy by this coaching staff. Trestman is the head coach. If Marshall is so obviously not healthy to those watching tv either (i) the tv watchers are wrong and he is healthy or (ii) trestman is a clown for continuing to play an ineffective and injured player.

    Maybe. I really don't know what to expect from this team. 3 of those 4 games are winnable but with this team I don't think any game would be considered an easy win. Would need to go 2-2 in those 4 games. If we do that, I would be ecstatic because I could see the Bears going 5-2 in the last 7 games, giving us an outside shot at a playoff spot. Sounds like the Bears are going to fall just short of the playoffs and everyone will keep their jobs to me. Football Hell. The previous coaches all lost their jobs after a 10 win season. This team wont win 10 games. Somebody explain to me why we needed to make changes two years ago but not now.

    Trestman blows he absolutely should have never been hired. Everything about this team sucks except for the offense which is merely 'ok'. We have 65mln of salary on offense and 45mln on defense. I dont get how anybody could like trestman.
