  1. Charlotte is a terrific defensive team. A combination of Tyrus Thomas playing out of his mind and a back-to-back game after the tough loss to Denver had a part in the loss, but Wallace, Jackson and Felton are eating up offenses. They are going to be tough for anybody in the playoffs.
  2. Carmelo Anthony is cold. LeBron could not have possibly played defense better and Anthony still knocked it down. Cavs should've won but they made less than 55 percent of their FTs. LeBron had 40-13-15 and they lost. That's unbelievable.
  3. RLYW thinks the Reds are going to win 85 games, eh? That's a tad optimistic. BTW, I like your new name better.
  4. I just saw someone suggest that the Cavs shouldn't trade for Amar'e unless he signs an extension. LOL. I would hope he bails after this season. The Mavs look really good right now and they quite easily have the best front court in the West. Haywood will destroy Gasol and his goofy beard.
  5. I wouldn't complain either and the Cavs might be getting Corey Maggette, too. But do they need Parker, Gibson, Williams, West and Maggette? That'd be a lot of guards. Would one of those be going to Golden State? Anyway, my only concern would be Amar'e's defense. It was always bad and now it's gotten worse with his knee problems.
  6. Freaking Missouri. I am so tired of Justin Safford playing like he's 5'11". What in the world were they trying to do? And of course Baylor benefits from Missouri fouling them and not having it called.
  7. Why am I not surprised Al Yellon is one of the people working that publication?
  8. I still don't see how anyone can make the argument that Kobe Bryant is a better player than LeBron James at this stage. It can't be said enough that he is playing out of his mind. When the ball is in his hands, a team's only hope is that LeBron or one of his teammates miss a shot. Because they are going to get a look at the basket somehow. And how in the world can you defend that fake right, spin left and fade away? Simply ridiculous. This is the Cavs' year and LeBron is going to embarrass somebody in the Finals.
  9. 36 thousand posts Truffy and still as insightful ever. It was more insightful than anything Rosenbloom wrote. Or has ever wrote.
  10. Missouri's RPI: 48 Joey Brackets: No. 7 Seed I'd do backflips if they could get a No. 7 seed.
  11. Oh man, Steve Rosenbloom is using fun nicknames and being provocative. I'm impressed!
  12. What does his job description have to do with how rival fans feel about him? He and his Gurussa have been lying for years and all savvy fans know it. What? He gets a pass for admitting he was dirty? Like we didn't know that? His handling of the Costas interview was as sickening as the congressional hearing. This mess will not go away, and until he and LaLiar are sent packing it will always be a black eye to the Cardinal Organization. Hitler is dead....Bin Laden is in hiding....McGwire will be O so accessible. I just can't take you seriously. I actually threw up after the Costas interview. Then I thought about being in the dugout as a manager and threw up again. :)
  13. This is what people told me when I'd get drunk and boo Aaron Miles.
  14. I hope Kennedy gets in a fight with Tony La Russa when the Natinals go to St. Louis.
  15. I've probably shaken my head in amazement at least five times in the fourth quarter of this Cavs-Heat game. Dwayne Wade is amazing, but I swear LeBron isn't even human right now.
  16. Jermaine O'Neal is 31 but still looks 19. And he busted out a spin move that I thought he lost five years ago.
  17. I'm sure that's what he is PRAYING for. I don't think that will be the case in NY and Philly. When are people going to boo him? When he pinch hits, of course.
  18. EDIT: I'm not being serious at all with this stuff. Sorry, you said you were a Cardinals fan and I don't give their intelligence the benefit of the doubt. That was a good response.
  19. Roland Williams was a pretty useful TE. He caught six touchdown passes for the Rams in '99. Bears fans should know off the bat that Martz can get anyone involved in the offense.
  20. I watched every single Rams game that Mike Martz was a part of and I'll tell you straight up that if the players can withstand his harsh words and soak in the playbook they will be successful. He can be very mean to players. Tony Dungy he is not. Receivers have to be intelligent. The idea that Martz only won because of three HOF skill players is absurd. Shaun McDonald, Kevin Curtis and Mike Furrey were all productive in the Martz system. His detractors will also say that he doesn't know how to utilize tight ends, but that's also flat wrong. I will definitely be paying more attention to the Bears this season.
  21. Here's some skill: Miles destroys the baseball That's what the Reds are getting. EDIT: I'm not being serious at all with this stuff.
  22. If he wasn't good at baseball he wouldn't have hit .317(!) and gotten a $5 million contract from Jim Hendry.
