Yeah, it's looking like ANOTHER Celtics/Lakers Finals. Not that I will watch a minute of that Finals, if it comes to pass, but still....I was hoping for a Suns/Magic Finals. Why wouldn't you watch Celtics/Lakers? What's not intriguing about that?
I just watched an interview with John Calipari and there is no way he's coming to Chicago. Kentucky is his dream job and it took him 20 years to get there. There's no way he'd take the opportunity to make a bunch more money and possibly coach LeBron James.
I haven't gone through the other four pages, but it's a shame that most of the focus is on LeBron failing and not Boston succeeding. If Boston keeps playing defense like they did, they will win another NBA title. Boston rotated their defense so well that I can't remember Cleveland ever getting more than two or three open shots on the perimeter.
I've been thinking that there's no way LeBron lets the Cavs lose this game, but I also thought there was no way the Indians could blow a 3-1 series lead with Sabathia and Carmona pitching. So when it comes to anything related to a Cleveland franchise blowing a sure thing, I'm prepared.
I wasn't being serious about LBJ-Rose. TT had originally mentioned that an offense without a point guard is better for LBJ. I think the two would be fine, but there is a case to be made for it.
I like MMA a lot, but I can definitely see how the whole MMA culture would annoy people. Every diehard MMA fan I come across is the same douche meathead drinking vodka and Red Bull and thinking he's Frank Mir. I'm going to a local showcase in two weeks and dreading it because you never know who's going to get pissed off and get the urge to fight. Anyway, there's an even more ridiculous amount of money to be made if Mayweather-Pacquiao get to a rubber match.
Texas would've been the best team in the Big Ten that year. If you're argumentative and hyperbolic with every post you make, no one is going to take you seriously. I wasn't being hyperbolic; I just think the Big Ten was crap in 2007.
So you'd rather the Big Ten have Texas than Mizzou, Nebraska and Rutgers? Without question Was that a serious question? Sorry, I must've fell asleep and woke up in an alternate reality where Texas is meaningful in something other than football. I can't wait for Missouri's admission to the Big Ten. This way their drubbing of Illinois becomes an annual thing in no danger of going away. Hopefully the switch happens in time for Blaine Gabbert to destroy the conference.
"JRoll" had to be one of the worst MVP selections ever. I think what made me roll my eyes to the back of my head was that it came the year after voters lazily gave Howard the MVP when neither of them were even the MVPs of their own team. What's a shame for Utley is that he's 10 times the player Howard is and he'll only continue making about half of what he gets, even when Howard becomes a platoon-hitting DH.
Rivals moves Missouri's recruiting class to No. 6 overall and best in the Big 12. But I already found out they won't be a championship contender in two years, so I'm unmoved. http://missouri.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1082157
