  1. I so hope Jamaal Magloire is the starting center for Miami next season.
  2. "It's hard to explain, but FU, Cleveland. I love you so much that I decided to put the knife in your heart on live television."
  3. Clippers Clippers Clippers Clippers
  4. SHUT UP STUART SCOTT
  5. I'm already bored. Does ESPN think we don't know LeBron's bio?
  6. OK. Sorry, I won't talk basketball anymore. And since you've clearly made your point, please follow the protocol of pretending I'm as non-existent as Horace Grant's defense.
  7. All I said was that I didn't think a team could win without someone inside, which I should have clarified to mean someone that could at least play defense and rebound, even if they couldn't score.
  8. Well one of those "dudes" averaged a 14/10 and over four offensive rebounds per game during the first three-peat, which obviously makes him a player of no consequence.
  9. I'm not a basketball expert, but wouldn't the Jordan Bulls be examples 1 through 6? So you think Dennis Rodman was a schlub on defense and the boards? Yeah, to a way lesser extent since Rasheed Wallace and Ben Wallace played on those teams. By "inside presence" I'm not just referring to offense, since rebounding has proven to be pretty important in winning basketball games.
  10. We've never had a situation like this, so who knows? But I'm hard pressed to remember a team that didn't win with an inside presence. The Lakers went from nothingness with Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom (way better than Chris Bosh) to a juggernaut with the addition of Pau Gasol. Dwight Howard may not have an inside game, but I'm not sure how needed it will be if he's facing up against Dexter Pittman.
  11. Does anyone really think a center doesn't matter? People are wildly underestimating the damage Dwight Howard would do to the Heat.
  12. To the extent that they'll be able to slash and kick, sure, but who are they going to slash and kick to? Are Kyle Korver, Mike Miller and Jared Dudley going to call a press conference announcing their intention to sign with the Miami Heat? Who do they dump the ball to inside? Pape Sow? I'll repeat: this And 1 monstrosity won't get out of the Eastern Conference. I doubt they could even take the Bulls in a seven-game series.
  13. This is why I don't think they can win the title, much less the Eastern Conference. Dwight Howard could put up 50 on Dexter Pittman. I don't know who they're going to bring in to fill out the roster, but if LeBron starts shooting left-handed free throws in protest of Paul Shirley being the sixth man, it'll be his own fault.
  14. No, I'm just going off Hawkeye's point that Broussard/ESPN is just LeBron's puppet, except when they're speculating that LeBron is joining the Bulls.
  15. How am I supposed to know? I just think it's stupid to dismiss all speculation from ESPN that LeBron is going to Miami when it was ESPN that started pushing the "LeBron could be going to Chicago" rumor 20 minutes after Cleveland was eliminated.
  16. Wait, you think Chicago isn't actually on the radar? I guess that was worded wrong. I shouldn't do anything before 9 a.m. What I should have said: "Exactly. Broussard was the first to connect the "LeBron to Chicago" dots, which is the only reason Bulls fans have convinced themselves Chicago was one of his top choices."
  17. I honestly believe Chris Broussard is being used by James' as a puppet, and that the Heat is a smokescreen. I think it will come down to Chicago and Cleveland. This is why you don't believe anything ESPN or their writers, etc, say because there is a huge conflict of interests. I think Broussard and the Heat are being used. Except Broussard wouldn't be a puppet and this wouldn't be a smokescreen if he were reporting James to the Bulls. Then you guys would be talking about how he was the first to report Wade/Bosh. And he would be a classy guy, best in the business. Exactly. Broussard was the first to connect the "LeBron to Chicago" dots, which is the only reason Bulls fans have convinced themselves Chicago is on the radar.
  18. I'm upset for Cleveland, but seeing a LeBron-Wade combo is indescribable. This whole thing is just weird. But I do think it's mighty big of LeBron sacrificing his ego to become Dwyane Wade's sidekick.
  19. I was complimenting you guys and making fun of Al. You didn't have to go through all that.
  20. I'm not sure who you meant to write there for "Rose." But I agree that LBJ/Wade are not a good fit. LeBron needs someone that can run an excellent pick and roll and good perimeter shooters.
  21. I don't doubt it for a second. Why would a point guard whose game is based on driving to the basket want to give up that to have the offense run through someone else? LeBron and Rose are not a good fit.
  22. I see Rick Ankiel. I see myself in this thread. Great objective analysis. It would make Al Yellon weep.
  23. This goes back to what TT said a couple months ago when he corrected me on the "LeBron needs a point guard" thing. Rose knows (heh) he'll be reduced to a guy who hangs out on the perimeter waiting for LeBron to slash and kick.
