    I had to check and make sure this wasn't written in 2008. Even if the Celtics make it past the Cavs, they will not get past Orlando. Garnett and Allen will have to use every last drop of energy they have in their legs to win this series.

    EephusWithAloe is right. Miles has entered the exclusive club of Mike Gallego, Walt Weiss and Craig Paquette: bad players who endear themselves to La Russa and get a lifetime pass on his roster. I remember a game in either '07 or '08 when he made three boneheaded plays at shortstop that contributed to a loss. La Russa was quick to remind reporters after the game that it wasn't Miles' fault because that young man competes as hard as anyone else in the game.

    You all have a point, but that season was kind of forgettable and it wound up producing four more unwanted years of Kyle Lohse. In all seriousness, the signing of Miles doesn't kill the team. It hurts me to say that. But I think it's extremely unnecessary because he doesn't give the team anything that Ruben Gotay or Tyler Greene can't provide (and I can't stand Greene). The real hysterics will come when La Russa regularly starts Schumaker, Miles and Lopez on the infield. I will fully support Brad Penny dropkicking La Russa and Mozeliak for their stupidity.

    He was league average in 2008. In 2006 and 2007 he was so gd awful that I kept a bucket beside the TV so I had something to throw up in every time he rolled over on a pitch. I have never despised one of my favorite team's players more than him. BAHHHHHHHH.

    He grew up in Independence Mo. I can see that. You are kidding, Yes? You got him confused with Truman? He moved to Mo. when he was "18"......but you kid don't you? Double post alert. He didn't move to Missouri when he was "18." He moved to Missouri when he was 16 and went to Ft. Osage High School.

    I think draft grades a day after the draft is over are stupid, but why is New England getting praise for drafting a tight end with back problems?

    Brenneman is the worst PBP in all of sports. I don't know how anyone could say him and Brantley are anything but atrocious.

    I don't know why the Rams didn't draft another RB. Swap out the blocking tight end from Illinois for another WR or RB and this would've been a good draft on paper.
