Illini fans: was Michael Hoomanawanui injured or something last season? Blocked by better players? I have no idea how that guy didn't show up more. The St. Louis coaching staff is rightfully getting killed again today for not using him more since he's the only receiver/tight end (other than Jackson) who has big play ability.

How? Smith threw up a wounded duck with his receiver 10 yards away from the ball and Atogwe ran into him. And his receiver still had time to adjust and try to make a play, but couldn't since Atogwe ran him over. There's no way in hell he could've adjusted to it. He was still running back as the ball was floating towards an intentional grounding.

And I'll add that the refs didn't kill the Rams. That was an overreaction. Lots of things lost the game, including the refusal to have faith in Scott Linehan's kicker to boot a 52-yard field goal.

Didn't the Niners have like 15 penalties in that game? All of them deserved since Anthony Davis had to murder Chris Long on every down.
