  1. Man, if he can just keep giving us that. Put him at SS and Riot at 2B next year. DLEE!!!!!!!!!
  2. Too bad they didn't look at the jumbotron at Wrigley to see that..oh wait Yeah right if they proposed putting a jumbotron at Wrigley, 70% of this idiot fanbase would hate that. So in essence, our fanbase is full of idiots. Well, my point was most of the fans there I'm sure looked to see where the ball was going and didn't see him trip out of the box. So based on Milton's history of not hustling 100% of the time it's easy to infer this was another one of those occasions.
  3. Too bad they didn't look at the jumbotron at Wrigley to see that..oh wait
  4. I've thought that about every game this homestand with the exception of Roy.
  5. Per Yahoo! :yahoo: K. Fukudome cf A. Blanco ss D. Lee 1b M. Bradley rf J. Fox lf M. Fontenot 2b J. Baker 3b K. Hill c T. Lilly p :yahoo: at Fukudome leadoff, but any line up with Fontenot hitting 6th is a train wreck
  6. Bernstein was talking about this yesterday and the math of it is really fascinating to me. Basically, I hope we can assume that Geo is not quite as good as he showed last year, but no where near as bad as he is this year. Especially considering when the league average for BABIP is .290 I believe.
  7. Love day baseball! Nice, hopefully relaxing afternoon, of listening to the game at work.
  8. My hopes are low as my vacation from work=not getting draft reminder emails=auto draft :-({|= :-({|=
  9. Just a sprinkle of false hope to let Valverde destroy them.
  10. Enjoying some Jack Daniels also enhances this experience
  11. Glad to see I didn't miss much at my night class. Turned on the game just in time to see a runner at 2nd with no outs not score. You've got to admire the Cubs consistency
  12. I think we need to get creative with a contract for Harden this offseason. He is going to want to get paid this contract, but his history of injuries and the 7-8+days between starts on occasion isn't going to earn him huge dollars I wouldn't think. I would love to see Hendry/new GM come up with a creative incentive laden contract for Rich that has qualifiers based off innings pitched/appearances however they wanted to do it. He was great last year and has really shown his value since the ASB this year. I do not see the harm in coming up with a contract that might max out around 10-11 million per year if all marks are made. If he turns it down, don't get into a bidding war but that seems it would be a fair market level.
  13. Buck and McCarver easy for me. I don't mind Jon Miller. I would tend to agree. I just hate when national guys try to give you in depth local angles. We understand you are national and aren't following every team in the league closely. Just stick to broad baseball topics and knowledge and it'll be a pleasant broadcast.
  14. Most annoying both: Buck and McCarver or Jon Miller and Joe Morgan?
  15. Koyie's RBI was hooking and hit up the wall right by the left field corner. Fan almost fell into the field leaning in trying to catch it
  16. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/recbooks/rb_ofer.shtml Looks like the most in a season is above 30+. I think the frustration with Soriano is well past the amount of balls he drops etc. It's the horrible angles and seeming lack of hustle that turns singles into doubles etc.
  17. I've never been off it for better or worse. Then talk of the Phillies with 7 games in 17 days in '07 didn't help either!
  18. Firmly back on the bandwagon, here are the other pertinent games for today: Braves v. Phillies 705est. Hanson vs. Pedro Padres v. Marlins 710est Correia vs. Volstad Nats v. Cardinals 815est Lannan vs. Smoltz Rockies v. Giants 1015est Jimenez vs. Lincecum' Let's go Phils/Padres/Nats/Giants
  19. I'd say RB might be your weakest spot. I would definitely start Hester over Harvin just for the fact that Hester is a 'number one' and should have more balls thrown his way
  20. This has been done according to the 4 o'clock update on the Score
  21. That's what I'm saying. One win, they finally won a game. And I'm right back on the bandwagon
