  1. this team creates a unique breed of masochism
  2. $5 to the person who comes up with the creative way we don't tie the game here
  3. How's the weather up there on your high horse? This was a guy making a total jackass out of himself to the harm of nothing except his dignity.
  4.     Every time you think he's done, he comes back for more and it's glorious
  5. Sure, keep telling yourself that. He would have been the closest thing to Stenbrenner we could have gotten, and say what you will about Old George, he gets what he pays for. He doesnt put up woth failure. Just a bit of a leap there eh?
  6. Exactly. Who on the current roster are you not listening to offers for? Maybe Castro? There is no one absolutely untouchable in my eyes
  7. Better slow your roll, lest you forget we are going against Dave [expletive] Bush
  8. On the bright side, Colvin is starting and Soto is not hitting 8th. It's a Hawks victory day let's be positive
  9. :-)) Also happy that we don't want to give Lee any chance to build off having a good game. Lou on top of it as always
  10. What other reasoning for Soriano at leadoff other than he did it before(even though it was dumb then)?
  11. And where do bad mechanics come from? It's fully possible for someone to have bad mechanics without being fatigued.
  12. Was thinking the same thing listening to him. It baffles me that anyone thinks it's a good idea to run a guys pitch count up over 100 pitches in his first major league start unless they get some sort of kickback when a guy goes to visit Dr. James Andrews
  13. Mitch 'wild thing' Williams was on Mully and Hanley this morning saying he would have kept him in all 9 innings if he was the manager. Also dropped the gems that pitch counts were the worst thing to ever happen in baseball and that fatigue doesn't make a pitcher more prone to injury, only bad mechanics.
  14. He's a hitting coach. This isn't a serious question is it? I'd officially blame Rudy for approximately 1.75% of this mess. When you have established veterans like Lee and Ramirez sucking, it's not the hitting coaches fault. The hitting coach is more or less an inter-changable part even though we may have one of the best. Veterans tends to know their swings better than anyone and work themselves out of their slumps. And there is even evidence that Rudy might actually be helping a lot of guys when you look at Soriano's, Colvins, Castro's stats and even Theriots was mashing (hitting soft singles) the ball early until his recent slump and there were plenty of reports of the amount of time he's spent with Rudy
  15. I'm with you. The best part of any drive to the south is seeing that first Waffle House shining like a beacon on the side of the road. Maybe I should give it a try sans Jack Daniels.
  16. Cy Silva dealing. They've been talking about Waffle Houses on the radio for like 10 minutes. Wasn't away anyone ate there sober
  17. Just turned this on, stupid time zones. Sounds like there is maybe 500 people there.
  18. Definitely one of the retirements that starts to make you feel a bit older. One of the players who got me into baseball and there might not ever be a swing as smooth as his was. Also a guy who has never had any real speculation about PED's at any point. Enjoy Cooperstown.
  19. No one realizes that the real curse was the curse of Ty Conklin, which was snapped because the Blues didn't make the SCF this year, thus allowing Hossa to win his championship. Hossa was just an innocent bystander that gained all the noteriety. :-)) :-)) Oh Ty Conklin. Hossa has been killing himself every shift on the ice. If we happen to lose, will not be a part of him. But go Z and stuff. Let's get 3 runs tonight.
  20. +1 I'm going to be blissfully unaware of the Cubs game outside of an occasional check on my phone
  21. Can he hit more than .162? Pencil him in the #4 spot and maybe this would help.
