    +1 I assume Lance Armstrong used them along with every other cyclist in the word. It barely diminishes, if any, his accomplishments in my eyes.

    I really dont have a problem with it. Baker in his career has hit left handers really well, and with the middle infield situation right now, hes probably not going to get any starts at 2nd anytime soon. Its a way to get him in the lineup, and get him in vs a LH pitcher. Also Philly is a small park so its less ground for him to cover. Nady. He is a proven quality at-bat when healthy. Need to get him more consistent appearances. I'm not dumbfounded by Baker in right, but makes he scratch my head a bit

    I was going to pretend this game didn't exist today and just check a box score later tonight after the past two days. For some reason as I'm typing this i'm opening up my AtBat app to listen to Pat/Ron. Hope I don't regret this...

    Put yourself in the security officers shoes. Tell me how YOU are supposed to know that this person running onto the field isn't intending to harm you, players, coaches, umps, other fans etc. When you have a relatively harmless way to stop this person, why wouldn't you use it? It's not like he put a bullet into his leg or something.

    Couldn't disagree more. How is security supposed to know the kids intentions? Yes, most likely he's being an dumb kid, but you don't know if he intends to harm a player/ump/coach etc. You can't take the risk. It's HIS responsibility for running onto the field. I hope to anything that the poor security guards don't get any heat from this. But,with the way this country seems to hate taking personal responsibility, I'm sure the family will sue the Phillies and win.
