  1. So he deserves no credit for basically knocking the first two picks out of the park? Carimi speaks for himself, and everything I've read about Paea suggests he has the potential to be elite, especially with a guy like Marinelli working with him. The Conte pick was a bit of a reach but he reportedly has one of the higher ceilings in this year's safety class. The QB pick was disappointing, but it's one pick. They just drafted a LB. Let's wait until FA is over before we call out Angelo. Sign a WR and G and we're good to go.
  2. This very unlike Angelo. Usually he screws up the first couple rounds and nails the later rounds. Looks like the opposite this year. That said, any pick that assures Todd Collins won't be back has to be a good pick, right?
  3. Who are some of the free agent WRs? It's pretty obvious that we're not addressing this position through the draft, although I'm still under the impression that the front office doesn't even see this position as a need.
  4. Probably a good idea to get rid of that 4th rounder before the Ravens steal it from them for nothing.
  5. From what it sounds like, the Bears would have taken Paea even if Austin was still on the board.
  6. Oh cry me a frickin river, Ravens. The problem with their stance on wanting the Bears 4th rounder is that they're wanting the 4th rounder along with the 27th pick, which was never a part of the deal. We can't assume that the Pats wouldn't have taken Smith at 28 before Baltimore if the trade had gone through, or that someone wouldn't have offered a better package than what the Saints gave to get Ingram to move up and get Smith at 28. Also, I don't care how the deal fell through. You're the team on the clock, and sometimes deals fall through. Be prepared for those types of situations. Sure it may have been the Bears fault, but you can't tell me there was absolutely nothing the Ravens could have done to make sure the Bears had called it in and subsequently had a backup plan in place incase it didn't happen for whatever reason. Ravens got their guy, we got ours, move on.
  7. Bears were prepared to give up their 4th rounder just to move up three spots and pick the guy they ended up getting anyway. Naturally, the Ravens are pissed and still want the 4th rounder.
  8. Hankerson might be a nice pick for the Bears in the 2nd round. Unless the Bears think they can get a WR from free agency. But I've been WR focused all offseason. If Hankerson is still there the Bears should go for it. Then preferably DT/OL/CB in that order for rounds 3-5.
  9. Please tell me he didn't say "Soldier Stadium".
  10. Assuming Carimi has to play RT, I think I rather have Omiyale at LT than Webb.
  11. Should have tanked this season and took a shot at Luck next year.
  12. I was hoping they would show Carimi getting the call. I can't imagine growing up in Wisconsin that too many of his family and friends were thrilled about him going to the Bears.
  13. I'm surprised you can say this with such certainty after what we've gone through with Chris Williams. carimi is not chris williams. True, Williams went at 14 and was practically a lock to be off the board by 20. Carimi probably does have a more impressive resume, but I'm just saying.
  14. I'm surprised you can say this with such certainty after what we've gone through with Chris Williams.
  15. FWIW, some scouts have him as a guard as well.
  16. Jerry Angelo rescues what has otherwise been a [expletive] sports day. :clapping:
  17. Bears pick in already. Carimi please.
  18. I highly doubt Baltimore wanted Jon Baldwin. No harm no foul.
  19. Dwayne Roloson. :stickman:
  20. In before my team is eliminated. Go Bolts!
  21. Bulls game looks likes it's over already. As does the Orlando game.
  22. Raining harder. Going to feel bad for Barney if this gets called.
  23. Straight in hard from center. Barney might actually be a decent player.
