  1. Where can I get some damn bait? Any idea when the lineup will be posted?
  2. Yeah, the Dempster thing bothers me way more than Ditka. Jesus Christ.
  3. Good morning, I love you all. Let's do this horsefeathers.
  4. While both narratives were annoying (Even Year vs. We swept the NLCS and have their number), I find the Even Year horsefeathers to be far more irritating if only because it's something I feel like will be drummed up a lot on the broadcast, not to mention by their fans. Even though the Mets bullpen is ironically why we're facing the Giants, no doubt the Giants have the weaker of the two bullpens. Just go toe-to-toe with their starters and win the game in the later innings if need be. Done and done.
  5. I thought he actually looked like he knew what the hell he was doing the past 2 games, but obviously a huge setback. Will be 25 before he sees the field again, with 4 games under his belt and coming off two serious injuries to the same leg.
  6. The night games are nice for two reasons, among others: 1. Mon-Fri people won't have to watch a horsefeathers playoff game on Gameday like a lot of us had to Game 4 against the Cards last year. 2. If something goes wrong in either game, I can just forget about it and fall asleep. Whereas afternoon game losses would require copious amounts of you name it to get through either Friday or Saturday night, completely ruining my weekend.
  7. 1-0 SF on a Pagan HR. You know, he wasn't terrible as a Cub, but I don't think I'd have guessed at the time that Angel would go on to have a 10+ year career.
  8. GRB is melting down too.
  9. Cards lose! If SF wins it'll be looking pretty bleak for them.
  10. Raisel Iglesias is actually pretty good tho.
  11. I mean, it was a possibility before. But I don't think there's any denying that his passing has increased his odds of winning it, right or wrong.
  12. Been hearing that this is a legit possibility now, if not likelihood. Thoughts?
  13. Not only did Coghlan's antics during the clinch celebration improve my opinion of him, but now OPSing over .900 in September. You can stay, Chris.
  14. Stop throwing at our players' domes you horsefeathers.
  15. I remember getting irrationally worked up/disappointed over that. The only consolation was that he finished with 199 Ks instead of 200.
  16. So that settles it. The 2020 Bears are winning the Super Bowl. With Lamar Jackson at QB.
  17. Twice today that Gameday has said "In play, no out" for plays that scored runs.
  18. Is the idea of facing Martinez twice supposed to bother me?
  19. If I recall correctly, the hamstring/groin tear or whatever it was he suffered against Arizona (week 2 ironically) last year was supposed to keep him out 3-4 weeks, and returned after missing just one game. I doubt he plays Sunday night but after reading that, I fully expect him out there against Detroit next week. The "Jay isn't tough" narrative bothers me far more than "he sucks". At least the latter can be debated. The former should be so far out the window at this point. Dude is a tough SOB.
  20. Thor will start the play-in game, meaning what, he'd pitch G3 at the earliest? If they honestly think they won't leave Wrigley down 2-0 using Matz and Colon, well then I'm not sure what to say.
  21. Mets by a landside. No Murphy, Walker, deGrom, etc. Nothing close to last year's Mets.
  22. Baez swinging at garbage has its perks. Walk-off HR is much better.
  23. A walk off Javy walk might just be the greatest thing to happen all season.
